Re: HALIFAX - HOME TICKETS - LIMITED SALE
It's good that Halifax took the time to return the unsold one's to us.
Re: HALIFAX - HOME TICKETS - SOLD OUT NOW
Fair play to Halifax selling 550-560 tickets btw. Given some of the stick they took they judged it quite well -and good on them for returning them in time to re-sell.

Re: HALIFAX - HOME TICKETS - SOLD OUT NOW
I thought id read theyd sold around 400. If this batch was from them they did bloody well to get them back in that time considering they were selling them until 4pm yesterday.
Re: HALIFAX - HOME TICKETS - SOLD OUT NOW
Considering that they are only a couple of hours drive away it's an excellent gesture from them, allowing us to put the sold out signs up.
Re: HALIFAX - HOME TICKETS - SOLD OUT NOW
Halifax sold 309 tickets according to a post on the Darlo facebook page
Re: HALIFAX - HOME TICKETS - SOLD OUT NOW
Maybe the 40/50 tickets are extra home tickets, rather than unsold away ones. We did only print 3,000 including 600 away, but the capacity (albeit unsegregated) is 3,299, so those tickets may have come from the excess.
As for Halifax, 309 if true just backs up my memories of their away followings.
How stupid does their official website look now?

You're just gagging for them to have sold nearly all of their tickets, so you can go on about how well they've done, aren't you?lo36789 wrote:Fair play to Halifax selling 550-560 tickets btw. They were never, ever going to get near selling the 600. Their website announcement claiming that 600 wasnt enough tickets, but they'd just have to make do with such a miniscule number, was a joke.

Re: HALIFAX - HOME TICKETS - SOLD OUT NOW
Honestly thought they would sell 600.Been to some Darlo away games in the days of FL and there have been much lower numbers than some of todays followings.Quakerz wrote:You're just gagging for them to have sold nearly all of their tickets, so you can go on about how well they've done, aren't you?lo36789 wrote:Fair play to Halifax selling 550-560 tickets btw. Re: HALIFAX - HOME TICKETS - SOLD OUT NOW
Had they been doing a fylde they may well have got somewhere near to selling 600. Fact is they have been playing shite and there have been calls to sack the manager so a lot of their fans cant be arsed to make the trip. It does make the whining sbout a woefully low allocation look ridiculous.

Re: HALIFAX - HOME TICKETS - SOLD OUT NOW
Halifax tickets not yet returned according to Richard on Twitter
Re: HALIFAX - HOME TICKETS - SOLD OUT NOW
Really hope we get these tickets back ASAP so we can truly make it a sell-out. I actually find it a little distasteful the way they moaned about "only" getting 600 tickets and have, by some accounts, fallen well short of selling that. It is hard to understate just how big a moment this is for us as a club and to have them have a pop at the club for the allocation we gave them (which clearly was more than generous) is not really on.
A chant of "600 tickets, you're having a laugh" wouldn't go amiss I think.

Looks like they may have signed Adam Morgan from Curzon Ashton who scored a hat-tick in the FA Cup game against Wimbledon.

Re: HALIFAX - HOME TICKETS - SOLD OUT NOW
I reckon we'll take a lot more than 309 to Halifax on New Years Day.
Re: HALIFAX - HOME TICKETS - SOLD OUT NOW
Where's this from? Are they going to be put on sale for home fans?BUSHEAD wrote:250 returned tickets

Craig Stoddart, and apparently so (when they get returned).Spyman wrote:Where's this from? Are they going to be put on sale for home fans?BUSHEAD wrote:250 returned tickets

350 is still a decent following considering no trains, an unappealing set of facilities, and the fact they aren't on the greatest run. It's just quite funny after their clubs ridiculous statement!
Re: HALIFAX - HOME TICKETS - SOLD OUT NOW
Not related but is there going to be a sign put up outside the ground with our name on it or the Vanarma sign that all clubs have.
Re: HALIFAX - HOME TICKETS - SOLD OUT NOW
I am really not that bothered - would prefer they sell a decent amount as reckon it will generate a better atmosphere. Clearly they judged it completely wrong if they only sold 309 hopefully we can shift the ones which have come back today.Quakerz wrote:You're just gagging for them to have sold nearly all of their tickets, so you can go on about how well they've done, aren't you?lo36789 wrote:Fair play to Halifax selling 550-560 tickets btw. My comment was more credit where credit is due...based on inaccurate information to start with!

There is one ready to go up but there are still discussions going on where to put it.Darlo1235 wrote:Not related but is there going to be a sign put up outside the ground with our name on it or the Vanarma sign that all clubs have.

Can't wait for this game!!
Just a thought but the away end at BM has no covering and it's standing only (I'm led to believe) so I can understand why Halifax may have struggled to sell the allocation, add to that no onsite bar.

HALIFAX - HOME TICKETS - SOLD OUT NOW
There isn't covered standing for Halifax fans and nor will they receive a bar service, but this hasn't changed, making their official websites claim of needing more than 600 tickets laughable.Radar wrote:Just a thought but the away end at BM has no covering and it's standing only (I'm led to believe) so I can understand why Halifax may have struggled to sell the allocation, add to that no onsite bar.

Now is not the time to cry
Now’s the time to find out why
I think you’re the same as me
We’ll see things they’ll never see
Darlo’s going to live forever!

Why would an on site bar make you not want to go to a game?Radar wrote:Can't wait for this game!!

So how many tickets did we sell today. All?
Re: HALIFAX - HOME TICKETS - SOLD OUT NOW
I've been to a lot of away games over the last few seasons and the decision over attending or not has never been based on whether there was a bar I could get into at the ground or whether my hair would get wet if it rained.
Re: HALIFAX - HOME TICKETS - SOLD OUT NOW
Yep, been to loads of away games over the years (more in our league 2/conference days) and can't say I ever looked into bar facilities or whether there was cover.LoidLucan wrote:I've been to a lot of away games over the last few seasons and the decision over attending or not has never been based on whether there was a bar I could get into at the ground or whether my hair would get wet if it rained.

I don't actually remember ever looking at what the ground would look like even - just hope for an 'Away Fans' sign! Ultimately the away end at Feethams was open.
Re: HALIFAX - HOME TICKETS - SOLD OUT NOW
Towards the end at least, the west stand was usually for away fans.lo36789 wrote:I don't actually remember ever looking at what the ground would look like even - just hope for an 'Away Fans' sign! Ultimately the away end at Feethams was open.
