Geoghagen has signed for Nuneaton who now have Tommy Wright as their manager. Interesting reception for him on Jan 7th I think...

Not withstanding the alleged bus sing-song incident, wasn't he one of the players who didn't ask for his wages etc when we went pear shaped?

I think he accepted less in exchange for receiving the amount early.
"At a meeting held at the Grammar School on Friday last - Mr Phillip Wood M.A., in the chair - it was resolved to form an Association Football Club for Darlington and neighbourhood. The opinions of those present were so unanimous as to the desirability of this step, that a committee was formed to complete the organisation of the club, and Mr Craven, 17, Garden Street, was appointed secretary pro tem." - The Northern Echo, Monday 23rd July 1883

Correct
Alun's promise to the fans: “I’ll make sure I’ll bring players in that are value for money and I want players that want to play for Darlington Football Club, want to progress and move up the league and show the fans that passion.”

I.M.O Big Ex did a lot of damage.

There they all were on the bus after getting knocked out of the cup - and while the financial implications were obviously getting into Singh's head - our hero "X" was singing a stupid song to rub Singh's nose in it.

Selfish, idiotic behaviour.

True, but you have to consider, if he hadn't have sung that song on the bus, would Singh have decided to keep running a club that was losing him millions? Of course he wouldn't. We were dead regardless of anythong Exodus did. The plug was going to be pulled any minute. Bit childish to blame him for the demise of the club.
