Pity PW is at Blyth as he did very well for us before. Just hope Ben D can be just as good and please let us not hold it against him he is from Pools. When he pulls that jersey on for us, it is in the footsteps of some great keepers, Moor, Wealands, Ogley, Stockdale & Schmeichel Jnr!

Can't forget Mark Prudhoe.

Thinking of this signing, is Dudzinski the first player to play for us after playing for Pools since Ian Clark? There's been a few in the opposite direction.

Also, is he the first ever loan between the two clubs?

No, not the first. We had a young centre half a season or two ago. What was his name?

Wonder where he's at now, as he looked OK for a kid when he came.

Just checked out Hartlepool's site - credit to them for calling us by our rightful name.

We also had a central defender on loan from them in our final conference season didn't we? Johnson maybe?

Pretty sure it was Paul Johnson who was at Spenny last season and played against us in the play off semi.

Hope the lad does well for us. What's the betting that we keep 3 clean sheets in our next 3 games?

Nice audio interview on the official site. Sounds like he's well up for it.

Dean Gerkin, never seems to get a mention on here, but he was brilliant.

He's now at Ipswich.

Best keeper I've seen play for Darlo was Teuvo Moilanen a loan player from Finland.

I hope the keeper from Hartlepool does well for us, but I'm lost as to why we have decided to get him on loan. He was a Northern League keeper last year at strugglers Durham City. We've signed him blind in my opinion, unless he is in just as cover.

So according to your theory no player from a lower league is capable of improving and moving up
And you think he's coming in to cover our first choice keeper who can't play for three games!.Priceless

He was brilliant, but was signed on loan from Preston, and later established himself as first choice.

He was completing a Uni course last year so matched it with plating some football and at the end of his course signed for Pools.

Seems the lad has his head screwed on, hope he does well for us and for his own career, even if he is a Southerner who has signed for Hartlepool

I'll always remember him and his baseball cap, when he ran out of the penalty area and jumped up to clear a ball and removed his baseball hat to head the ball and then put it back on after he had cleared the ball.

Point been, we wouldn't have even considered him if he was still playing in the Norther League. Just because he is a young pro at Pools, we have taken him. As said above, I hope he does well for us, but I think the club have been lazy on this one. There are more experienced and better goalkeepers around. The test of 3 games will hopefully prove my opinion wrong.
