Telford desperate for a big show
Telford desperate for a big show
I see the club is right in the brown stuff and praying our fans turn out in numbers to help their desperate cash-flow problems. They had to raise £25,000 for October which they did but have to net another £25,000 by the end of November but so far they only have £247 (gulp).
The boss is desperate for more players and wasn't helped recently when their defender James Hurst was fined and put on the transfer list after a twitter outburst against the fans. He was sent off against Salford and when he was met with ironical applause by the Telford fans he gave them the thumbs up and then bowed as he departed. He then got stuck into them on twitter saying: "I feel like a surgeon stacking shelves in this league."
Oh dear, it don't sound good.

Even if 400 of our fans made it, that would only raise an extra £4k to £5k. But I guess every bit helps.

We will take about 250/300 paying probably about £9/ £10 on average. Then the VAT man will take his share, basically we won't be Telford saving grace.Darlo_Pete wrote:Even if 400 of our fans made it, that would only raise an extra £4k to £5k. But I guess every bit helps.

Despite their cash-flow problems, Telford obviously have a bit of leeway in the transfer market as today they signed Ebbsfleet attacking midfielder John Paul Kissock on loan. I think he's in the Anthony Peacock mould... apparently 5ft 6ins.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Ex Everton youngster think he scored past us for Southport - if now he definitely played as their fans had a chant for him (can't remember it now!)

Re: Telford desperate for a big show
Wasn't it Telford who beat us 3-0 away, after we beat Middlesbrough 2-1 in the 1985 Cup replay, or is my memory playing tricks?
If it was, revenge would be sweet.
