Turnstiles are in place - inspection to come

Post by super_les_mcjannet » Thu Nov 10, 2016 10:05 pm

Turnstiles are now in place.

4 in the home end (tin shed) and 2 in the away end if segregation in place (open end).

FA inspection next week of the ground to see if it's in a place to get our games there.

Brilliant news. Is that when the capacity is worked out as well, or is that a separate inspection?

Hopefully we'll get some more pics, it's been a week and I'm missing my fix.

Hopefully not he same council appointees that reduced Feethams from 21,000 to less than 3,000 capacity by some strange H&S "interpretations" and "foibles".

Hopefully there will be zero (MPRFC) police say this time.

I was at Blackwell Meadows this afternoon and have to say the ground is looking good. The transformation of the pitch had been magnificent

I think capacity maybe affected by issues such as

1. Narrow road from main road to car park(S), potentially restricting access for emergency vehicles when place is busy

2. Lack of parking in vicinity of ground and potential traffic congestion caused by crowds entering / leaving site and or parking nearby

I think this is probably more of an issue when looking at expanding ground beyond its 3000 capacity. Club and fans need to ensure access road is kept clear and fans do not park near ground in dangerous or selfish manners. This may prove more of a problem from visiting fans who do not fully appreciate the problems that their parking will possibly cause

These external issues are things the. Council can consider when setting the ground capacity and going forward may prove a bigger problem than where to build a new stand around pitch.

Hopefully these are problems that the club, fans and the council will work together on.

Neil you seem to be mistaking our highest attendance with maximum capacity. They were never the same.

When was Feethams ever reduced to 3,000 unless it was when the East stand was being built?
