...made his debut for Motherwell in the SPL on Saturday.
I'm a bit surprised by that signing. I know the that Scottish footy is not as good and Motherwell are skint, but come on. Conference to SPL. Not disrespecting Ryan. But he's not set the conference alight.
Weren't there wishful thinkers suggesting he might come back to us?

He had a good record for Gateshead, to be fair. Can't see him making it in the SPL though. He might be a league 2 player, or Championship in Scotland.

Now is not the time to cry
Now’s the time to find out why
I think you’re the same as me
We’ll see things they’ll never see
Darlo’s going to live forever!

Re: Ryan Bowman
Richie Foran flitted between Motherwell, us when in league 2 and Inverness Caley - didn't look out of place / stand out at all those clubs.
Scottish football is not what is was thanks to the SFA being as shambolic as the SFA. The bias towards Celtic and New Rangers is understandable because of their financial muscle - but it's damaging the game up here. Pretty sure theirs only Hearts living to their means (and prospering). They're producing some decent young players...
