Yes - a very good question indeed - we missed our pies at the Boston home game and as a consequence suffered from feelings of severe disappointment, entwined with semi serious hunger issues ............. not debilitating.

I wonder what the problem is?

I shall be sending a very strongly worded email to the board regarding this matter! As a large man myself and also a season ticket holder, I EXPECT my glutinous needs and the glutinous needs of many other larger fans, to be met, especially considering the amount of money we've dished into this club out of our own pockets! Funny how they don't have enough money for a pie counter but have enough to treat the away team to a dominos after the game! (Yes I seen it!) I wonder where that money came from?!?!?

Perhaps it is down to no volunteers with food health and safety certificate ,so not able to put food counter on in the bar.

Very, very disappointed to hear about this.

I thought we'd left that sort of thing behind with the former Darlington F.C.

The lack of professionalism from this club makes me despair.

On the subject of pies, I recently watched a documentary about the opening of the Arena, as we are in the process of losing the first game at the new stadium our former chairman is gleefully bragging about how many pies he's sold and doesn't even notice the opposition scoring the second goal
"Do you know how many pies I've sold? 2,300!"

From Tim's comments re pizzas it would seem there is a problem with making food inside the stadium.

What a mystery............

I heard the person who normally does it got another job with a few days to go to the start of the season. If people are that bothered why not offer your services to run the kitchen!!

This is correct and the comment about having the correct food certification to serve food, unless someone can recommend someone there will be no pies in bar until we get to BM

Pete will you go and do one, if you go to any away ground at our level most do not serve food in the bar, get your arse in gear and go outside to the catering unit which we have to provide, you have been spoilt since we started at HP.
Or get your food certification done and do the job your self, its called VOLUNTEERING

Could they not just get batches of Taylors Pork Pies and Sausage Rolls in? Wouldn't need to be served hot, and get in the good books with a local business.

Plus they're the best, and I will have at least one at every game.

Have you just watched Salford prog ? You need people with a food certificate, but send your name into directors and see if you can do them yourself

RobsR's - darlo Pete clearly only joking this time.

Have to say - when I saw the OP I thought we had some kind of totaliser keeping count of the number of pies we were selling....

This is the kind of thing we need in a fans owned club, someone who counts the pies.

Need a job description putting on line and get some applicants in. ;)

Misread this, I thought this was a thread about Darlo Pete counting pies, replacing his counting of posts.

Well Rob I had a pie as you ordered me too. It was very nice too once it had cooled down. Thanks to those that organised this today.

At least there is one silver lining from this afternoon, delighted to see the pie counter has returned to its rightful place.

Club said they were already talking to Taylors at the First Forum we had at BM.

In the good old days at Feethams Taylors had a concession hut North of the Old East stand selling pies, mushy peas and sometimes chips (if you got there early).

For the short term why can't cold "growler" pies be sold at the HP or BM bar?
