Hardly class these lads as five above like can you?
None of them or very few will feature in Newcastle first team.
Work out at the end of the day against better opposition than we've faced for a long time
Gives us something to work on and gain valuable fitness

I agree better to play tougher opponents than walk all over teams that way you learn things

37' | GOAL! Very unfortunate goal. Striker took it around Jameson, he hit the post then the ball hit Marrs in the face and went in. OG. 0-3.

Let's use up all our bad luck in pre-season.

Good runout seems like Hardy has settled in now as he has scored in last few games

Enjoyed the game, I thought it was a good turn out, majority were Darlo fans, good work out for the lads some were blowing a bit at the end.
The only comment on the play is the same as what I saw at Billingham, we need a target man, someone who can hold the ball and win his headers, at the moment we haven't got one.

Excellent turnout for a preseason friendly against an under 21 team. The team can't be criticized for the result, Newcastle were a very good team who were quick moved the ball around nicely and never gave us a second on the ball. The scoreline could have been much more than this if not for Jameson and some last ditch defending. Overall a very good workout for the lads, that Newcastle team would walk the National League North.

Martin criticised the team on BBC Tees, said they weren't good enough

On the NUFC official website it was stated as 'Quakers v Newcastle Stiffs'. Any idea why?

Got to agree with Martin Gray. Huge improvement needed. Turnbull was a solid 8, everyone else 4s and 5s

Anyone know where Chris Hunter and Aran Wearmouth are? Don't think either of them have been involved in any of the matches so far.

Hunter is ruled out for the rest of pre season through injury and Wearmouth was training with the squad today.

Not sure I heard Wearmouth had or needed an op of some kind. Someone may know more on this one but matches up with him not playing.

Newcastle 1st team were playing at Bohemians today.

Website you refer to with said quote (Www.nufc.com) is Not the Newcastle official website rather it is an independent website that has no connection with the club even though it has more accurate and up-to-date information on it.
