Re: Spennymoor sign former darlington keeper

jesus Spennymoor are travelling some distance to sign ex-darlo players now aren't they, must mean they have bought every single one in the north east.

Re: Spennymoor sign former darlington keeper
This looks like another fantastic signing for Spennymoor, so i would say on paper, it looks like Spennymoor have a stronger team than Darlington now. opinions please.
Re: Spennymoor sign former darlington keeper
Aye agree. We always release players that we want in our first team.
Re: Spennymoor sign former darlington keeper
Am sure that keeper would be first choice if he was at Darlingtonlo36789 wrote:Aye agree. We always release players that we want in our first team.

You're fishing off a railway bridge here.Fuck off.
Re: Spennymoor sign former darlington keeper
On paper ? It's on the pitch that counts !
Darlington play as a team. That team being greater than the sum of it's parts.
On paper England's galacticos are ranked 11 in the world, but on the pitch play like they should be 189th.
If Spennymoor have a stronger team than us, as you believe, they should easily win the Evostick Prem next year with more than 104 points. We will see. I do regard it as a compliment that you hoover up ex Darlo players with relish, have you approached Hodgy yet to be your next manager. Perhaps you could play your home games at the Arena and change your name to Darlington United. You do have previous in this regard re Evenwood town.

Re: Spennymoor sign former darlington keeper
no need for them replies, it was just a bit genuine banter.
Re: Spennymoor sign former darlington keeper
You asked for opinions and got them.

Never mind, but just hope we dont meet in the FA Cupbanktopp wrote:You asked for opinions and got them.
Re: Spennymoor sign former darlington keeper
Yeh probably. We still have to enter the county cup this season after all.polarbear wrote:Am sure that keeper would be first choice if he was at Darlingtonlo36789 wrote:Aye agree. We always release players that we want in our first team.

Um, why?polarbear wrote:Never mind, but just hope we dont meet in the FA Cupbanktopp wrote:You asked for opinions and got them.
We would obviously beat you, like we always do.
No matter what, you are simply unable to beat us in a competitive match.
As for your squad, yes it looks strong, but you're always one step behind Darlo. I would only have taken Chandler out of your signings.
As for Rafferty, when did he play for us, I've never heard of him?

Re: Spennymoor sign former darlington keeper
Quakerz, it's probably because he never played for us!
Re: Spennymoor sign former darlington keeper
I think there's just an assumption that if Spennymoor sign someone, he probably used to play for us.don'tbuythesun wrote:Quakerz, it's probably because he never played for us!

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

I still think as a team, we have the upper hand over Spennymoor.

Your entire squad seems to be made up of our cast offs and players we didn't think we're good enough to pay over the odds for. Good try at baiting with the topic title though, keeping yourselves somehow relative despite us battering you and moving on.

Re: Spennymoor sign former darlington keeper
According to Wikipedia, "Rafferty started his career at Darlington but left the club aged 16." This was back in 2007.
So he was formerly at DFC, but never made a first team appearance.
The best part about his Wikipedia page is that he made 0 appearances at Horden Colliery Welfare, with his number of goals scored shown as "?".
