Dan Burn to join Wigan
As above. He'll join on a free transfer once his contract expires at Fulham next week.
Hopefully he'll become first choice, as he's got plenty of potential. Could be a good move in terms of his development.
Does end any more discussion about those sell-on clauses.

Agree Gramps. He is still only 24 another chance to establish himself as a Championship player and maybe go even higher?

We'll get nothing, as his contract at Fulham has been allowed to expire. It's a good move for Dan, hope he has a great season and a cracking signing for Wigan.

Free transfer, surely not!
Some were suggesting he'd get an England chance not that long ago!

Aye same price as Zlatan cost Man U and Sol Campbell cost Arsenal...comeondarlo wrote:Free transfer, surely not!

If he'd continued to develop and perform how he was at the time then it wasn't outside of reason. It was mentioned at the time that England had very few up and coming centre backs and he was one who was playing well. Given England just went to a European Championship with only Gary Cahill, Chris Smalling and John Stones kind of emphasises the belief at the time.
Remember when Fulham wouldn't sell to the likes of West Ham but that was a different manager I suppose. Clearly the last 2 seasons he hasn't developed as expected.

Fulham have had so many managers that it's just unfortunate that the one in role at the time his contract ended didn't fancy him.lo36789 wrote:Aye same price as Zlatan cost Man U and Sol Campbell cost Arsenal...comeondarlo wrote:Free transfer, surely not!

Well at least Dan will get to see Will Grigg play unlike the rest of us at the Euros
