Amar has just scored the opening goal in the ConIFA World Cup final against the host nation, Abkhazia. The goal was after about 65min. It's the first time the hosts have conceded in the tournament.

Panjab lose 6-5 on penalties after being 3-1 up. Amar took the first penalty and scored.

Amar must surely be a contender for golden boot and player of the tournament. Given his injury lay-off it's been a perfect rehabilitation for him

Hope someone checks his international registration and our paperwork is still in order for the new season. Good to see the lad coming back strongly, we will need everyone to be fit and available for a demanding set of fixtures. Great to have internal competition for places and for MG to have some more options.

PS Well done Amar, sorry the rest of your Panjab team could not get the final win.
