I know the season isn't over, but it would be great and very well deserved if the team got a civic reception, like we did when we won the FA Trophy.

We are having two end of season events, after that I am sure the players will probably want to switch off for a while.

That went well !!

Bad feeling and problems emanated from that day. The paid TFM flag wavers have never been seen since - which personally I'm glad about.

Pete, as you work in the town hall you will be well aware of the clarts this lot have got the finances in so I think it would go down like a pork chop in a synagogue if they spent money on a piss up for the top brass and the football club.

I am organising the end of season bash which includes shirt presentations to sponsors at Blackwell Meadows on Saturday 14th May.
Tickets will be limited because of the room size and will be £5, I will advise soon how you can obtain them.
It will be good to use BM the Dolphin Centre has a booking on the this night.

Apart from creating a massive budget row......

Fans own the football club, so how many would expect a freebie?

The players will be too busy partying in Newcastle & Magaluf.

A DCC publicity opportunity will come along when Blackwell Meadows is opened, so best not distract the B2D process going on for a jolly.

Hilarious overreaction to Pete's rather prescient post!

i think many are a bit surprised that this league title has been deemed a civic reception event.

Certainly suggest the radio channel are going to show a bit more interest in us next season anyway...

Cheers Lawman3 for those comments, as per usual massive over reaction by others, hope they might think twice before posting similar comments in the future, but somehow I doubt it. Yep I'll definately be in town on Friday.
