Yeah. The lads will be going there to win it outright. No doubt about it. I'm going to find tomorrow unbearable, and won't be doing much work on Thursday. I know I won't be alone.

We've got a 10-goal advantage over Blyth, that would be the same with an extra point, and they then only draw level on points.
They'd then need to win 5-0 against Marine, and we'd need to suffer a 5-0 defeat to either Rushall or Whitby.
That's not going to happen.
We're not guaranteed that point against either of those two teams, and it's not worth approaching either game in the hope (or anticipation) of getting a draw in either of them, as I doubt Blyth will do anything other than win on Saturday.
Bring Back the Quarters

It's improbable not impossible.grytters wrote:That's not going to happen.

You can say it isn't going to happen, I would tend to agree, but it isn't mathematically impossible. If tomorrow night ends in a draw, there won't be any trophy presentation or any medals handed out. Nor will a 'C' appear next to Darlington's name in any published league table.grytters wrote:ONE more point.ian_brown wrote:2 (TWO) points.

Darlington need two points.

Re: One More Point !
Anyone else remember the Scottish Premier League in 1986 ?
The media were saying how Hearts had won their first title for mega-years.
After all, with 1 game to go Hearts would have to lose & Celtic would have to win & there would have to be a 7 goal swing from Hearts to Celtic.
Guess what, Hearts lost 2-0 & Celtic won 5-0.
I accept history is unlikely to repeat itself but let's get all 3 points Thursday then we can celebrate.

Remember it like it was yesterday. Albert Kidd scored Dundee's goals. He was, and still is a huge Celtic fan, and as a result of that day has a supporters club named in his honourIanW15 wrote:Anyone else remember the Scottish Premier League in 1986 ?
