Todays crowd was 662.
A big thankyou everyone this evening and to all of the @Official_Darlo supporters who braved the cold and snow.

It won't be Ashton, 3-1 to Salford

Re: Spennymoor's Playoff Campaign
Quick report from the game.
https://simonhahn89.wordpress.com/2016/ ... -the-snow/
Spenny struggled early on, but as soon as they scored they dominated and deserved the win.
Weather was awful though, how can it snow in the last week in April!
Hopefully a decent crowd for them on Saturday and another promotion

Re: Spennymoor's Playoff Campaign
662 was pretty average. I know the weather was poor but I did expect them to get nearer to a 1000. Hopefully they'll get better weather at the weekend and I'm sure a better crowd.
Re: Spennymoor's Playoff Campaign
looked at least a 1000 in to me, but you know the routine on shared gates

Re: Spennymoor's Playoff Campaign
We went to the game last night, and Spennymoor could barely string a pass together in the first half - they looked like a bunch of strangers.
However scoring just before halftime, then coming out in the second half looking fresher and playing downhill changed the game in their favour.
The cold weather probably kept the crowd down but we did spot a couple of Darlo players in the stand alongside Gray/Atkinson.

Re: Spennymoor's Playoff Campaign
Yeh it was almost a local derby, pitiful support for such a big game.
Re: Spennymoor's Playoff Campaign
Hopefully, Spenny can now see off Northwich Victoria in the play-off final on Saturday.
Re: Spennymoor's Playoff Campaign
It was 33% greater than their average and they were playing against the team (Ashton United) who are bottom of the attendance table for the division.Darlo_Pete wrote:Yeh it was almost a local derby, pitiful support for such a big game.
I am sure they would have liked more but you compare what Salford used to get 2 years ago (sure it was only a couple of hundred) then they aren't doing too bad in generating interest.
Attendance figures over 800 at this level is anything but pitiful.
Re: Spennymoor's Playoff Campaign
Hoping to see another entourage of Darlo fans for Saturday's play off final at Spennymoor Hopefully those who came on Tuesday(and there was plenty!) enjoyed the atmosphere and game. Fingers crossed the extra support can give us an edge over Northwich Victoria on the day

Re: Spennymoor's Playoff Campaign
I hope Spennymoor win, but I think Northwich may have the edge.
