A very busy April - hope the squad is up to it and Blyth drop a few points lol

Trying to look on the bright side, a week's rest between games could help... before a massive April.

Good. Hopefully they'll be more knackered than our lads.
Come on Workington. Do us a favour.
Being the optimist. This does potentially mean the game at Whitby might be defining! Not tempting fate. I'm not. Just hypothesising

Yes, I was thinking that. The end of this season has now become very exciting/stressful.
Also, another thought, if at the end of all this we have two more playoff games then the players will need new legs.

Re: Whitby re-arranged Thu 21 @ 1945hrs
that`s presuming more games are not called off
Re: Whitby re-arranged Thu 21 @ 1945hrs
Would it have really been a major hassle to have another go at getting the game on this coming Wednesday night rather than cram another fixture into an already stupid schedule!?

Re: Whitby away
Me and our lass were taking her 4yo daughter to what was to be her 1st match at a cost of 18 quid plus petrol plus dinner what we got was god awful shitty weather and a postponed game...
We decided to goto Pickering on the Moors Railway, went and had dinner and managed to miss the last train and having to get a taxi back to Whitby at a cost of 56 quid for a return on the train, 35 quid for dinner and 38 quid for dinner...
Instead we will take the bairn to Heritage Park before the end of the season

Re: Whitby re-arranged Thu 21 @ 1945hrs
Apparently Wednesday was looked at but Whitby said their pitch was a mess and wouldnt of been ready in time
Re: Whitby re-arranged Thu 21 @ 1945hrs
looking at that pitch on the echo site showing the water logging in the corner is there any way whatsoever that game had any realistic chance of being played? most darlo fans had set off by 9 am im sure even before then it had no chance theres no way that lot appeared btwn 9 and 10.15 when it was postponed.think only the pubs gained from it and those that dont drink had to wait around till their respective coach returned.

I think it's only to Whitby's advantage to play the game right at the end of the season. Imagine the size of the attendance, if we needed a result to get promoted or to win the title.
