Salford v Darlo predictions

Post by Sidarlo » Fri Feb 12, 2016 9:46 pm

Well after all the ticket talk etc. We can finally get to the game.

How do people actually see it going? and also will we make any changes, considering Hardy has joined?
ive done a quick preview

Personally I think it will be a draw and I think the point suits us more than them.
Can't see Hardy starting, Gaskell and Cartman have simple been too good to be dropped

I would take a draw, I can even accept a defeat if we don't let ourselves get involved in the stupid winding up that Salford do.

Hopefully the management and players just get in, get on with the game and get out whatever the result. The whole Salford circus drives me crazy, hope we treat it as just another game.

Agree with Les. Whatever happens hopefully it's just another game of football. No trouble off the pitch, no suspensions to cope with.

I think we are capable of going there and winning, but equally I wouldn't be surprised if we lose. I doubt we will change the team - Hardy on the bench. I'd take a draw, and if I was betting that's what I'd put it on. 1-1.

We certainly owe Salford one after last season's debacle. If we play to our best abilities, then we will prevail. One thing that worries me, is that we need to start stronger, as we've been pretty moderate in the first half of our last 2 home games. We can't afford to start slow tomorrow.

A Darlington win for me we as a club have grown up since last season's debacle ,don't think there will be any thing other than a decent game .Hopefully with a Darlington win at the final whistle. Onwards and upwards Darlington . as bob the builder "can we do it yes we can.

Think Salford will win - and hope I am wrong. I saw them against Ramsbottom and their attacking 5 are pretty awesome in full flow.

I just hope Stopforth missing will remove that stability from the middle of the park.

My opinion

Honestly don't know which way it will go...If we play like we have against Blyth then we will win. But, like Darlo Pete says. Ifr we play like we have in the first half of the last two games we will lose...
I think somewhere in the middle. So a draw for me.

I can't see us changing the starting 11 with Hardy coming onto the bench.

Its a close one to call and regardless of the result (win, loose or draw) its not a season breaker. I'd rather not loose just to keep our run going.

We do need to start strong in this one as i don't think they will let us get away with just a second half performance. If we set out like we did v Blyth away then were a match for anyone.

I can't call this one, think i changed my mind 3 or 4 times typing this.

My prediction: whatever the result, come Sunday we will still be predicting... and will be doing so for some weeks to come.

My heart (of course) wants a win this afternoon, but my head is (sadly) telling me the reverse.

Two all.

Let's hope all the shooting takes place on the pitch.

1. M62 will be the main obstacle
2. They will run out of pies and beer
3. The drones will be flying
4. The referee will be rubbish
The rest is all hopes and dreams, so let's not repeat the farce of last year's match. Come on Darlo!

Echo what most have said here, it cant be any worse than last year.

Id take a loss if we went out and give it our best, we have to remeber that whilst we appear to be throwing money around, they clearly have more.

Im saying salford win but i hope we can get something obviously.
