Bishop v Whitley Bay Off
Bishop v Whitley Bay Off
Just interesting to see our landlords game at HP today has been called off. Hopefully no rain between now and Tuesday night

Because we are still in January, I'll be amazed if we get no more games called off, and this places us in a precarious position.

Waterlogged pitch in the centre circle, we've a few dry days coming up so i should imagine our game on tuesday night should be ok

Looking at the snow now coming down here just at the edge of town, your imagination must be better than mine. Forecast is a cold snap with some rain overnight Sunday and then warming up Monday but rain again. The gales may help blow some dampness away. Chances 50/50 at best?

Im no expert but presumably if the wind keeps up it should dry the pitch pretty quickly! As long as the rain is light

I reckon there must be a decent chance of Tuesday's going ahead, if we don't get too much rain between now and then.

Bishops also have to get their games in so eventually the pitch will be chewed up pretty badly.

Re: Bishop v Whitley Bay Off
By March the pitch will be probably need to be played on at least 3 or 4 times every week, so if there are problems now, I think it'll be a real struggle to fit all the games in, especially if we have a wet spring.
Re: Bishop v Whitley Bay Off
Just seen the weeks weather forecast on Countryfile and it doesn't look good. Fingers crossed the rainfall misses us, otherwise there's going to be another three games to rearrange.
