Darlington v Colwyn Bay
Wonder if Bishop are planning a pitch inspection before their game tonight? If our game goes ahead against Colwyn Bay, than I can see a comfortable win, as Colwyn Bay must be very low on confidence as they lost 1-4 at home to Skelmersdale on Tuesday night.

I honestly don't think in this league there are any teams in which you can predict a 'comfortable win ' against, the standard of football right across this league is high, we have to be at our best every game to get that win.Darlo_Pete wrote:Wonder if Bishop are planning a pitch inspection before their game tonight? Colwyn Bay have been struggling recently, so in theory it should be one of our more winnable games.

Bishop game is on tonight as mentioned in another thread, so our game will be on tomorrow.
So if you are wondering whether to make the trip or not, hopefully you can set off travelling with no worries.

Re: Darlington v Colwyn Bay
This is the starting 11 from the Whitby match, will MG make any changes if everyone is fit? Probably not, we shall see. The only change I would make is Callaghan in for Provett,
Brown could slot in for Jameson and Nowakowski into CB if necessary. Callaghan would give us more options if he was on the bench.
Darlo team today:- Jameson, Galbraith, Burgess, Brown, Hunter, Mitchell, Turnbull, Scott, Thompson, Gaskell, Cartman.
Darlo subs:- Dowson, Portas, Armstrong, Nowakowski, Provett.

Re: Darlington v Colwyn Bay
Would love to see Portas and Turnbull back into CM. In my opinion 2 of the best CM's in the league. Other than that keep it pretty much the same, callaghan on the bench would offer something different so that is a sensible move

GOAL!! Great work down the right, Cartman played it towards the back post and Burgess was there to tap home. 2-0 Darlo!
AND according to Flashscores we're still 0-0, get your bets on.

Cheers mate, hopefully more next time after a good home win.Mr_Tibbs wrote:There were 1077 there todayjoejaques wrote:Crowd figure anybody?
Re: Darlington v Colwyn Bay
Very good performance today could have easily been a lot more then three.
Hit the woodwork four times, Colwyn were very poor though.
A lot of players had good games, but Cartman was the MoM for me some brilliant touches etc.

Re: Darlington v Colwyn Bay
As I said a very comfortable win. It could and should have been even easier, as we hit the woodwork 4 times. Some great performances, thought Galbraith was brilliant, along with Burgess and Scott in the middle. But Cartman rightly got the MOTM and it was great to see him play almost 90 minutes.footifan wrote:Darlo_Pete wrote:Wonder if Bishop are planning a pitch inspection before their game tonight? The crowd was disappointing, but not entirely unexpected.
Re: Darlington v Colwyn Bay
Apart from his 2 goals how did Burgess play, or were we not really tested at the back? Hope he had a good game as he took some stick earlier in the season. I thought he was fairly steady last Tuesday night.

Re: Darlington v Colwyn Bay
Ref missed a blatant push on Gaskill in the first half, well inside the penalty area. Thought Colwyn Bay were pretty poor and offered little going forward. Burgess had his best game for Darlo in my opinion, which will do him a world of good.
