New shirt vote
New shirt vote
Just two options this time but number 1 is the classic hoop design I've been waiting for since 95/96

Got to be the hoops for me - don't like the sash version at all.

Don't like the trend for sashes across strips. Hoops are part of our identity. No brainer for me.

Re: New shirt vote
I'm not totally against the sash design but there's too much red on it. Might have been interesting if it was only black.
I always fancied a single broad black hoop around the chest area, I think Fulham had one like that once.
Got to be number 1.

"At a meeting held at the Grammar School on Friday last - Mr Phillip Wood M.A., in the chair - it was resolved to form an Association Football Club for Darlington and neighbourhood. The opinions of those present were so unanimous as to the desirability of this step, that a committee was formed to complete the organisation of the club, and Mr Craven, 17, Garden Street, was appointed secretary pro tem." - The Northern Echo, Monday 23rd July 1883
Re: New shirt vote
Number 1. I quite like the sash, but number 1 is very smart. I think it would be good to have a traditional hoop design for the return to darlo (if it happens in time).
Now if only we could get a Dutch style orange away kit again!

I like option B , but out of the 2 option A for me.
Think it will win by a landside .

Re: New shirt vote
I do like option 2 though like MakkaPakka a little too much red for my liking, a bigger black sash and a thin red one underlining it could have been good.
I have a drawer full of hoop designs and they are a bit dull but that’s what we are so clearly option A will win and quite befitting of a new start in Darlo (if that happens).

Re: New shirt vote
Voted option a. But two very good shirt designs from Avec so credit to them. I do quite like option b as well. Wonder if they could change the Base colour to red with white and black sash and that could be our away shirt

Choice 1 for me as well but do like this suggestion JE93 for away strip.JE93 wrote:Voted option a. But two very good shirt designs from Avec so credit to them. I do quite like option b as well. Agree with that. Voted option A but am surprised that I also like option B - it'd be a good away stripbga wrote:Choice 1 for me as well but do like this suggestion JE93 for away strip.JE93 wrote:Voted option a. Re: New shirt vote
Choice One. No brainer. Only to be ruined by the sponsor. Black shorts too please.
As for option two. Don't like it at all for a home kit. Too much red. Too little black. As fond as i am of this seasons kit. I would like more black on it. If option two is to be an away kit, it'll need to be red. But saying that, it's been a while since we've had a yellow away kit. It would also work well as a training top. That way the sash would be continual, as there would be no sponsor.

Re: New shirt vote
Both templates are presently being used by Donny (albeit in different colours) as their home and away kits. The home strip looks class.

Re: New shirt vote
really impressed with the avec shirts.
hoops all day,
hoops all day,
Re: New shirt vote
Defos a for the return to Darlo. B reminds me of a Carlisle shirt for some reason but in the wrong colours.
I am hoping that a quartered design might be available again in the future but to be honest they might as well produce 3 slight variations on hoops given how the voting has gone the last 3 years!

Wasn't there a more "hoopy" one in last years vote than our current kit which (thankfully) didn't win?lo36789 wrote:Defos a for the return to Darlo. B reminds me of a Carlisle shirt for some reason but in the wrong colours.

Don't like the sash but prefer the hoops, Darlobhoy ? Subtle show of allegiance perhaps !!
I'm with you though, mate... I'll be voting for the hoops
Re: New shirt vote
which one is cheapest to produce and will offer us the most income? Choose that one.
In the absence of such info i will go with hoops

Re: New shirt vote
Hoops for me although the 2nd choice could make for a nice away kit if the colours were changed alittle

Re: New shirt vote
You know me too well. Darlington RFC play in a different variation of black and white hoops, and so should the BM move come off, there will be a nice synergy between kits.

Re: New shirt vote
Having a worrying thought. I hope that the hoops on this shirt will actually be continued on the back (as per the Donny kit), otherwise it's going to look rediculous with such wide bands of black

The colours would have to be changed completely for it to be viable as an away kit.TinShedDarloFan wrote:Hoops for me although the 2nd choice could make for a nice away kit if the colours were changed alittle
