Re: Dan Burn
according to the BBC he isnt on the list of transfers/loans so Im guessing we are hoping he signs a new contract with Fulham now to realise anymore money.theoriginalfatcat wrote:So I take it no transfer has taken place ? Deafening silence .....
Re: Dan Burn
Looks like they tried to push the deal through according to the star newspaper. "United had spent a month attempting to secure Dan Burn’s release from Fulham but, after intially being encouraged by the Londoners’ decision to bolster their own defensive options, were unable to push through a deal. It remains to be seen whether Adkins will try and resurrect those negotiations next week."
Knowing are luck he will go on loan till the end of season then signing on a free

Re: Dan Burn
I'm happy he's remained at Fulham, especially as he's still featuring in the first team. Hopefully some rich Premiership club will see his potential and but him for millions.

Re: Dan Burn
Think he is out of contract in summer, as such can move on and with him any hope of a welcome windfall.
Re: Dan Burn
Yep he turns 24 before the summer so no tribunal either. If Burn is clever he won't sign a new contract either he can get any savings on a transfer fee as extra wages.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Re: Dan Burn
once there is talk of you being sold, and bringing in new centre backs surely you'd expect your days to be numbered?

Re: Dan Burn
I find it a little distasteful so many people are more interested with the money we may get from any deal than how Dan Burn's career progresses.
Surely the most important thing is he gets the right move for his career, be that staying at Fulham or a move away.
He is a human being with a livelihood to make, not some sort of cash cow.
Looking through this thread, some clearly couldn't care where he ends up, so long as we get some money.

Re: Dan Burn
Poor lad. I mean, at the end of thr day gramps, we all want the very best for him. A multimillion pound move to a massive club on astronomical wages.
In reality he is a football player we had the good fortune to sell on. We are not in a position to see him as anything other than an asset. It comes out of our pockets or the transfer fee clause. If that happens to be to a tinpot outift then he has made that decision.

Re: Dan Burn
My point proven exactly. He's not an "asset", he's a young footballer with a future to build.TDS wrote:Poor lad. I mean, at the end of thr day gramps, we all want the very best for him. A multimillion pound move to a massive club on astronomical wages.

Are you really saying you'd rather he screwed up his career with a bad transfer just so we can earn a bit extra?
I'd rather he got sold for a pittance and got regular first team football, than got sold for a few million and ended up on the bench or in the reserves.
Re: Dan Burn
Id rather everyone won - ofcourse.
If you are asking me to pledge my allegiance to Daniel Burn over the potential financial safety of my football club then Dan Burn comes second every time. Our success and his success should correlate surely?

Re: Dan Burn
He is an asset - he was one of the reasons we took on the old debt. Of course we want to realise as much as we can. It's not like we have any say in where he goes either - that's him and his agent. He could end up in the reserves or on the bench wherever he goes, there are no guarantees, so we might as well hope we maximise the benefit to us.
Re: Dan Burn
I see Dan is on 48 league appearance for Fulham, will we get a payment if he make two more appearances ?

Wouldn't surprise me if Fulham are trying to avoid a payment step, but "bolstering a defence" may mean having more players and competition for places.darlo4me wrote:I see Dan is on 48 league appearance for Fulham, will we get a payment if he make two more appearances ?
Dan was thrown in at the deep end at Fulham, so maybe he can improve his game with some rest and new defensive partners.

3 observations/questions:QuakerPete wrote:Darlogramps in "being different" shocker
Have you anything to contribute on Dan Burn, or are you just going to have a pop at me? It's rather sad if you're not going to say anything on the topic of the thread.
If you have a problem with my opinion, have the guts to challenge it with a coherent argument, instead of wimping out and having a vague pop at my character.
And what's wrong with being different? You prefer everyone had the same opinion?
Re: Dan Burn
Aren't the regular payments something like £25k (£12.5k to us) at appearances? I am not convinced that is going to even come into the equation for a club like Fulham.Neil Johnson wrote:Wouldn't surprise me if Fulham are trying to avoid a payment step, but "bolstering a defence" may mean having more players and competition for places.darlo4me wrote:I see Dan is on 48 league appearance for Fulham, will we get a payment if he make two more appearances ?

Re: Dan Burn
Dan Burn starting again today for Fulham. Suggests to me that he's very much part of their plans at the moment. Hopefully he'll be rewarded with a new contract.

With time running out his existing contract it would be good in the long run if this was to happen for both him and us!

Re: Dan Burn
How would we benefit if his contract was renewed?
Re: Dan Burn
We wouldn't directly, but if he leaves on a free in the summer we'd get nothing. If he's contracted, then it keeps open the chance of a future sell on payment. That was my logic!Vodka_Vic wrote:How would we benefit if his contract was renewed?
Re: Dan Burn
Stoke considering a summer move for Burn according to a few sources over the weekend. He'd be out of contract by then, as it stands at the moment.

Hopefully he'll sign a new contract before the seasons end, to thank Fulham for their loyalty towards him over the seasons. Then Fulham and us will make something out of any subsequent move.
