Sponsor a Goal scheme 2015/16

Post by TS3 » Tue Jul 28, 2015 9:08 pm

The scheme is returning for its fourth season, having raised over £5000 so far for the club.

Pledges are accepted for anything that can be measured (generally use the Echo report or Evostik website for clarification)

In the past 3 seasons, people have backed goals scored by the team or an individual player, penalties scored, goal difference, points achieved, hat-tricks, clean sheets, penalties saved and promotion.

Amounts per pledge can be for any amount that is affordable.

All Evostik and FA matches are counted.

Payments can be made monthly, in two parts (Christmas and End of Season), or at the end of the season.

All money raised, including any interest earned on early payments, will be paid to the Football club.

Updates with be posted through the season.

Pledges accepted either on here, by twitter to @darlogoals, or email to darlogoals@gmail.com.

First match today (stating the obvious)

Pledges accepted for the season as a whole or individual matches.

How about a couple of quid for a win?

A fiver for a penalty scored or saved?

50p for every goal scored?

Hi All

Hope you have all had a good Christmas.

As you may have seen from the message on the Darlington FC Website, the lack of home games in the past couple of months is starting to have an impact on the clubs cash flow.

To help a little with this, I am planning to transfer to the club the money that has been paid to the scheme so far this season in the New Year rather than wait until May.

At the minute this accounts for around £300 of the £1003 that the scheme has generated so far this season.

If you would like to make an advance payment in the next week or so, please drop me a mail and I will let you know how much your pledge amounts to so far.

Payments can be made via PayPal to darlogoals@gmail.com or Bank Transfer

Many thanks
Ian

Many thanks for those that have sent funds across in the past few days. I realise this is always a tricky time financially for us all.

I've been in contact with Dave Mills, and he is extremely greatful.

I'll be transferring the money early next week, so still time to send it across.

As we head into the New Year, why not start a new pledge?

How about a pound for a team goal? A fiver for a player of your choice to score? A couple of quid for a clean sheet? 50p a point? Or any other amount?

Considering the forecast for the next couple of weeks, how about a pledge for each postponed match? Someone else has done this, but if you do it from today you've already missed a handful of cancelled games.

Others have backed goals scored from outside the area, in the first 10 minutes of the game, in the last 15 minutes of the game, scoring or saving penalties, promotion, goal difference, or hat tricks.

We've even had pledges from matches not including the Quakers. How about a couple of quid for each goal that Salford conceed, or game they lose?

Pledges can be sent via PM on here, via Twitter to @Darlogoals or email to Darlogoals@gmail.com

Payments can be made after each game, monthly, or at the end of the season

Have made a transfer of £855 today to the club.

Thanks to those that could manage to make a payment early, bigger thanks to those that have made a payment based on future goals scored, and massive thanks for those that paid us a Xmas bonus.

Here's to 2016, getting games on, and lots of goals scored.

I pledged £1 per league goal this season but I'm doing one better.

I'll only be able to make half a dozen home games next season (probably less) due to work / family commitments, but I'll be buying a couple of season tickets for me and the old man.

I usually pay on the gate, but every little helps.

Thanks again to Ian for running this - I've just coughed up what I owe.

Looking forward to doing it again next season.

Did everybody pay up eventually?
Alun's promise to the fans: “I’ll make sure I’ll bring players in that are value for money and I want players that want to play for Darlington Football Club, want to progress and move up the league and show the fans that passion.”
