So my random hopeful would have been Scott Carson and Jermaine Pennant (but I have no idea if the first played Champs Lge and whether the second got an England cap.)

Beyond those and more sure of Gascoigne, Ian Wright (are Celtic foreign?) and Joey Barton.

They don't have to be international footballer, only of English nationality.

Whilst all of the above have played abroad, none did so in the Champions League.
