Because their previous name wasn't 'fc', it was Hereford Utd FC, or Chester City FC etc, so they've had to change their name just as we have because we were Darlington FC, so couldn't use that same name (despite being the same club) Image

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.

Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Not at all rehashed.

The reporter arranged to ring Denis' mobile while he was away in Italy to make sure he got current comments for the report, so it was definitely not rehashed.

A good article and a very interesting comparison between different clubs who have all had similar problems.

I was quite routing for that name. Though definitely in its russian form Lokomotiv Darlington. Would have been 1 part recognition of the towns history and one part 2 fingers up at the FA

In what possible way would it have been sticking 2 fingers up at the FA?

"Yeah, look at us giving ourselves a laughable name. Up yours FA!"

Ohhh dear grandad you appear to have lost your sense of irony in making light of a bad situation. Now would you like a Horlicks or a worthers original?

That was an attempt at irony? It was the most pathetic attempt at irony ever. Do you even know what irony is?

Oh and it's spelt - "Werther's Original." If you're going to attempt a put-down, at least get it right.
