That's a first saying that he's enjoying extra training. Hopefully the players will be far fitter when pre-season starts than they have been in the past and we hopefully will reap the benefits when the season starts in earnest.

Fantastic to see the levels of professionalism coming over, year by year it's improving, league standard mentality will help get us back up there

Good to read - hopefully the extra work will pay off once the season gets underway.

What's with "Bustard"? Surely it's "Busted". Or is he combining it with another word beginning with B and ending in stard.
"At a meeting held at the Grammar School on Friday last - Mr Phillip Wood M.A., in the chair - it was resolved to form an Association Football Club for Darlington and neighbourhood. The opinions of those present were so unanimous as to the desirability of this step, that a committee was formed to complete the organisation of the club, and Mr Craven, 17, Garden Street, was appointed secretary pro tem." - The Northern Echo, Monday 23rd July 1883

With the grit shown of late, a better fitness level and some interesting new signings the club is more likely to make a good start and build up some momentum early. The early introduction of new signings to the existing squad and the number of preseason games should also help the cause.
