But they've still a extra points on the table, which is what counts at the moment.
We cannot afford to slip up as they seem to be grinding out these wins.

Warrington , Northwich are going to be difficult trips we can't afford any slow starts.

FT 1-0 Salford.
Think we might know our fate after the next two games for both teams.

Re: Tonights games
Next 4 games are huge for us.
Warrington, Northwich & Scarborough away.
Droylsden at home.
All in and around the promotion/play-offs spots.
In the same time, Salford have Scarobough & Radcliffe Borough away and Spennymoor at home.

Re: Tonights games
Salford cannot be that great only beating Prescott in the last minute. To be honest I think Spennymoor are a greater threat, if they beat Salford at there place it will blow the race wide open.I think if we avoid defeat at Northwich we are well capable of winning the remaining games and I feel confident we can do that.Getting Whitey and Mitchell back after Warrington will be massive and we have the squad to get over the line ahead of everyone else.

As long as we concentrate on ourselves and winning our games - Then we can win the league.
Next couple of weeks will soon give us an idea of the final looking table.

I agree, need a win and a draw then think we can win the other games....lose either and think its all over.Magical Quakers wrote:FT 1-0 Salford.

89 at Prescot tonight.....what do Neville etc hope to achieve at Salford.......FCUM are currently taking the position I think they are trying to achieve, very strange.
Re: Tonights games
I'm sure there will be plenty of twists over the next 7 games for both sides. Points will be dropped along the way.

Mitchell is back for Saturday, Whitey isn't
If before Saturday you had told me us and Salford would both win 2/2 and we would increase our GD advantage I would have taken it.
The next two weeks could well decide it all.

It is getting tight up there, I am still confident but it will be difficult. Only see us dropping max 4 points. Should be enough.

I can see this going down to the wire.
Last game of the season for Darlo, Salford, Northwich & Spenny are:
Darlo - New Mills (H)
Salford - Ossett Town (H)
Northwich - Brighouse Town (A)
Spennymoor - Burscough (H)

I hope you're right, BUT - feel that this is too optimistic.RUMPLESTILTSKIN wrote:Only see us dropping max 4 points.
It seems to me that whoever out of us and Salford is deemed to be in the driving seat, gets the most nervous. Our bad run coincided with us being in a really good position.
So good that the Salford manager said that they had blown their chance and we would win. Kidology !
Now they are in pole position and very nearly cock it up at The Cables.

To be honest they had blown their chances really - we have let them back in from a position where we really should've wrapped it up quite easily.theoriginalfatcat wrote:I hope you're right, BUT - feel that this is too optimistic.RUMPLESTILTSKIN wrote:Only see us dropping max 4 points.

That's it Spyman - if we could of done a "Curzon" at this point (like Quakerz said we would) then it would just about be over now, and we would all be enjoying it.

Re: Tonights games
Dean wasn't playing and he seems to be Salford's best playmaker.
Salford seem to get an extraordinary number of "shots" mentioned on Twitter, but maybe a lot were blocked easily or just not too quality, as they seem to be scoring most in the second half against tired legs (& brains).

I've thought, ever since they moved in, that the "long term plan" was to take over from FCUM and attract their fans back to a Manure backed team.MCFCDarlo3 wrote:.what do Neville etc hope to achieve at Salford.......FCUM are currently taking the position I think they are trying to achieve, very strange.

Re: Tonights games
If it does come down to the last game of the season, I hope we're going into the game in top spot because I can't see any of the teams losing those fixtures.
