Moffatt available
Matty Moffatt available for transfer at West Auckland...could he fit in here? I know it's another striker but he fits the same role as Amar

Not available until the end of the season.
Re: Moffatt available
Sure something could be worked out. Not like West are going for promotion.
I think he's a good player. Would GA be at risk of being moved on or would he be the replacement for Hatch. I know Hatch has been filling in nicely but I don't think he'll be around next season.

Re: Moffatt available
Might just be me but was he even that good?
Re: Moffatt available
FWIW I do think he could make a difference, although whether a) we would deal with West and b) the board would sanction the transfer after spending a large amount on Cartman is another matter.

The board at a well run football club should do what is best for that club, and not hold grudges. I am sure that the board at Darlington would deal with West if it was in the best interests of Darlington.
The second point you make is perhaps more significant

Re: Moffatt available
If as has been suggested earlier he is not available till the end of the season, then we need to take stock then of the strikers we have. If Amar is fit for next season and we can find a way of getting Cartman to score then I'm happy with what we have. Hatch is the dilemma isn't he, as we all know how versatile he can be in an emergency?
If Moffatt is available now I would not want to sign him as I think it would be a huge gamble.

Re: Moffatt available
Why don west want to get rid of him? If he's that good why would they want to let him go?

Re: Moffatt available
MG did say at the fans meeting we would bring in a few more bodies for the run in, maybe this is a chance to get a bit of experience in as well some youth players.
Help get the club back to Darlo by helping to spread the word about the "Back to Darlo!" fund. Money talks, but given its Darlo, then the price will double at that clubdivas wrote:I'm sure the board at the well run club would. Re: Moffatt available
This season we need attackers who can out-wit or out-muscle massed defences and who are maybe more in their prime.
Matty was a great all-round striker some years ago, but as Darlo are seeing now there is a world of difference between NL and NPL defences and space available in and around the box.
He may be worth a month by month contract punt for next season if we are promoted and if more space is available to attackers. (lot of if's)
