Rain forecast for Kendal from Thursday onwards, with heavy rain on Saturday. Let's hope it's not another wash out.

It's been pretty dry for the last week or so, so hopefully the pitch will be able to take a bit of rain without threatening the game going ahead.

Just seen the forecast, not good,Kendal just seems to have crap weather all the time.
The away game that went ahead last season was mad.

No rain forecast for Saturday now, so hopefully it will be fine by kick off. 3 days of rain doesn't look particularly helpful mind

The thing with this game, is anyone going to actually go if there is even the slightest chance of it being called off, hell if they have a pitch inspection that would be a definite reason not to go, regardless of whether it passes.

(not a dig at Kendal, rather than the officials)

If the game goes ahead, then you just know the pitch is going to resemble a bog, which is better for Kendal than it is for us.

To be fair. Kendal's pitch is actually very good. You have got to remember that when we went there on NYD it had rained solidly for 3 days before but at 2:20 it was playable.

On the day of the game it rained solid from like 8am to kick off. Very few pitches would get within 40minutes of being on in those circumstances.

If it stopped raining at 2:20pm we may have just got a game on as the pitch does drain well but with constant rain it had no chance.

Hopefully it won't get as much rain as forecast and we get the game on.

Kendal v Speny play tomorrow night, I presume someone from our management team will be at the game to watch Kendal who seem a bit hit and miss. Managed to get beat 6-4 on Saturday!

The weather is looking better for Saturday. Rain forecast for Thursday, but only possible light and patchy on Friday and Saturday looks fairly dry. So the game should go ahead.

Does anybody want a free entry ticket for the game on Saturday as I won't be able to make it and don't really want the benefit of the ticket to go to waste.

I won't be going because there are no evening trains on Saturday for the whole of the WCML - part of the journey is replaced by 'buses.

(Aren't we all looking forward to the joy unbound when Beardie gets to plaster his brand all over the East Coast trains, and flush their excellent record on service and attention down the crapper like he did with the first franchise to run Cross Country?)

I drove last year...there were a few places at the Cricket Ground which was just up the road so should be ok.

Going on the train if work allows,it is bus between Lancaster and Preston on the way back as someone has said but its only 40 minutes.

The weather forecast looks fine now, although a bit cold tomorrow. Only down to 2 degrees tonight, so hopefully they'll be no significant frost tonight.

Preview for tomorrows game

https://simonhahn89.wordpress.com/2015/ ... n-preview/

Just seen the echo, which expects Hunter to return to the squad, so unsure who Gray will go with at the back.

Still expect White to come straight in, maybe Hunter on the bench if he isn't 100%

Its Sunny, dry and in truth hardly any rain, so things should be fine! (barring some kind of major downpour)

The pitch is also fine!, not boggy!

Good conditions are to our advantage, as it allows us to play our more expansive footie, if such a thing is played in the Evostick Division 1 North!!!
