Shame for the lad, wish him a speedy recovery and hopefully he'll be back to health quickly then we can welcome back.

Interesting to see we'll be signing a RB from a premier league club, fantastic to see that they trust us with their players. Usually only drop as low as the conference so reflects great on our club

Think most of suspected this would be the case, real shame for the lad but I'm sure he will come back fitter and sharper than ever, he seemed to improve after his last layoff, as for the RB I reckon it will be a SAFC lad but pure speculation.

That's a bad blow for us. With Armstrong, Cartman, Dowson and possibly Hatch, there'smore than enough.

Nevertheless, Purewal is a key player who can be relied on to get goals.

Hopefully he won't be missed too much.

Doubtless if this new RB doesn't set up 10 assists, make a dozen goal saving challenges or charge around like an idiot on Saturday, he'll be written off as not being good enough after one game by the knee-jerkers on this board.

We're entering the stage of the season where Premiership youngsters who are set to be released in the summer are sent out to clubs to try and get them fixed up for next season. If whoever it is can have anywhere near the impact Adam Mitchell has we'll be onto a winner.

It does cast questions over Jordan Robinson who hasn't been seen for the past few weeks though...

I suspect that too, mainly down to catchment area of the two PL clubs.

SAFC seem to get more from Durham, whereas Newcastle have more from Northumberland. One set are a realistic travelling distance to play for us, the other is more likely to drop down the divisions via Blyth.

I suspect if you look at SAFC u21s whoever has been playing RB this season is the player coming in.

On the bright side, as Amar is missing for the rest of the season, he can't be checked out by scouts either wanting him or checking out the opposition for next season in the Evo-Stik Premier. Good luck Amar, come back ASAP & better than ever

Sounds promising, but don't they all until they start playing for us?

Nice to see a reference to Peter Cartwright. Easy to forget some older players, he was a good one.

Report also states Mitchell is on trial at Gillingham while he's suspended.

Would Darlo get money for him?

It's always a tough one this....he's under contract so he couldn't leave without our permission. But, would you stop the kid from following his professional dream for the sake of a few grand?!

Do what Jarrow had done with John Campbell. Loan him out, see if it works out for a few bob.

We can't afford to let our best players go for nothing.

I would think a professional club is quite able to pay a few grand, what we do is build in the clauses so we potentially get a decent return, and the buying club doesnt outlay too much on a gamble.

And yes, I think we should stop our players under contract from moving to a professional club if that professional club wont pay anything - because if they wont, they probably arent the type of club the player should be going to.
