One game postponed in our division tomorrow - Mossley v Farsley, and Ramsbottom have had yet another game postponed... their last league game was on New Year's Day and their only competitive match since then was a league cup match this week (against Northwich Vics, incidentally. Rammy won 3-1)

Looks like the temperature in Salford is not meant to drop below 2 degrees tonight, so things looking a bit more promising.

There is one other in our division off, or at least expected to be off according to club secretary. Suits me though means I can go to Salford instead!

Just saw they are forecasting 50/60 mph winds for Saturday, not good.

Sorry but and? Wind was stronger when we played Ramsbottom at home last year I think.

Strong winds like that and the match just becomes a lottery, you can argue that the team who deals with it better deserves to win, but it usually ruins the match.

Nowt we can do about it...It will be the same for both teams and we just need to get on with it..

We have had snow, frost, rain and now wind predicted to spoil the game and for people to worry about.
Come Monday morning it will all start again for next weeks game

Strong winds usually keep the temperatures up.

Do they? Wind chill brings the temperature down doesn't it? Just sounds an odd statement.

Which forecast have you used? Met Office forecast for Salford indicates breezes of 15mph and gusts of 33mph during the game. Not ideal, but a far cry from winds of 50 or 60mph.

No wonder fans get confused. The amount of made-up, speculative rubbish in this thread is ridiculous.

A load of people guessing about weather systems they know absolutely nothing about.
Can we just look forward to the game and if it's off, then so be it.

Agreed. This place is just full of doom mongerers every week now. I think Darlo_Pete has started or contributed along the lines of 'oh dear weather looks bad game probably off' since the start of October.

I hope and expect the game to be on. Very excited this morning, as I don't get to as many away games as I used to or would like to.

Brilliant news, can't wait for the match. Salford are in for a massive shock, if they only expect 400 to 500 Darlo fans.
