Its rare for Manchester to get bad snow, tends to be the higher ground areas surrounding it that gets it bad.We need to play this lot now and hit them hard so hope im right.

DAFTS Pub of the day - Bulls Head, 84 London Rd, Piccadilly, M1 2PN - 6 real ales - pub grub. Hopefully we can get to near Salford City by some public transport. Anyone with any tips? There is a Tourist Office which I can try.

Is the ground close to Prestwich or Salford?

What's the best way to get there from Piccadilly.

I drove last year but on the train myself this season.

Im going to Piccadilly Station then getting the tram, its downstairs,to Victoria Station. Then its a short bus ride up Bury New Rd to the ground.Dont know Salford that well, the Metro and trains dont seem to run close by.

Someone mentioned on another thread that you can get off just before Victoria Station at Shudehill and get a bus from there.

Chorlton Street bus station is a 5 minute walk from the Bulls Head (west along Whitworth St, then north up Choarlton St). Catch an X41/X43 (every 15 mins) that goes up Bury New Road and get off at Moor Lane - ground is a 5 minute walk down Moor Lane.

For anyone arriving at Victoria Station, walk to Shudehill Interchange (5 minutes) and catch a 96 or 98 that goes up Bury New Road (as above) or catch 92 or 93 that approaches Moor Lane from the west end and drops you off on Moor Lane 300yds from the ground.

Neil, you are my hero. I'm booked into a B&B about 200 yards from there. :D

It's nice to be nice, i'll give it a try sometime!

There are also buses 96 & 98 to Neville!!! Rd, southern end of ground, 5 an hour from Shudehill Interchange Bus Station, nearer other rail terminals than Piccadilly. Nearest pub to ground may be the "Friendship" on Scholes!!! Lane.

Hope for a massive turn-out showing the Black & White and a really noisy support!

Correction 96 & 98 only get you to the East end of Moor Lane, but not so far for walking. Good bus map free on line.

What's the best junction to come off the M60 for the ground?

Any word on whether Kev will be there with his camera or the Darlofans radio guys will be broadcasting the game? for those a little too deep in exile to make it.

Kevin is in New York at the moment I think, if this snow storm hits he might not make it back!

If our script is followed then a lot of Darlo fans may want a full match DVD.

Now it's weather watching time.

Manchester is easy to get to for a lot of Darlo exiles and also from home area.

I expect there to be well more than the 700 or so Darlo that were at Harrogate RA last season, so get to the SCFC turnstiles, pies, drinks EARLY.

Kick-off may NOT be delayed for fans queuing outside of the ground!
