Just got back from New Mills, set off at 11 didn't expect the game to be off. Got to the ground at 1.40 to be told game off. Spoke to people in bar ref called it off at 11.15 but the pitch is now playable didn't want to risk Darlo getting here to call it off.

The pitch would have been heavy going but not frozen it was 6 degrees at 3 o'clock.

Well pissed off.

From what I understand Darlo players didn't set off, not sure how it works but if we had got all the way there and it was off New Mills would have had to pay costs for the coach.

Seems they didn't want to risk the costs as the temp was always supposed to be about 5/6 degress by 3pm.

If the temperature was going to hover around freezing all day you could understand it but 5/6 degrees it was always going to thaw.

If the team had got there and it was called off they would have to cover our expenses.
