Good luck to him, attitude may have been wrong.
But credit to himself that he's worked his way back up the ladder.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Re: John Pikey Campbell
Never understood the level of anger Campbell brings out in some people. Good luck to the lad. Hope he makes a go of it this time around. As for the "pikey" taunt - your oh so funny tag line hardly marks you out as one of his educated betters.HarrytheQuaker wrote:Singing for Oxford apparently!!!! Good riddance down saaaaaaaaaffff.

Re: John Pikey Campbell
Campbell was actually quite popular with fans when he was with us. I think most fans thought he always looked dangerous when he played and then he fell out with Cooper.
I don't know what happened after that, but Campbell seemed to hold the grudge against Darlington as a whole club. I remember people posting who knew him well saying he wouldn't ever want to return - this in response to our fans saying they would have really liked him to have joined us in the NL season.
He then took his dislike of Darlington to twitter, and I suppose that is where the level of anger comes from.
Good luck to him, if he stops the constant scowling then who knows, people might warm to him and give him a bit of time!

Oxford play the Hangers on 20th December. Hope he plays and grabs a couple.
Re: John Pikey Campbell
I'm quite surprised pools didn't take a gamble on him earlier in the season.
got to say i was in the camp when we first went down to NL level that we should try and get him signed up. Certainly had an eye for goal and think he could of got a decent amount in the conference if him and coops hadn't fallen out. remember him scoring a blinder last day of the season before the FA trophy final (can't remember the opposition, Rushden maybe). Unfortunately there seemed to be some hostility from him to the club from those days so it never came to be.
Wish him well though, always good to see players go up from this level and make it. Prove to the FL we're not a bunch of pub leagues down here.

Re: John Pikey Campbell
wish the lad well, afterall he was part of our greatest day and won a medal
Re: John Pikey Campbell
He's either very very stupid or got a great sense of humour..............Tweeting he's looking forward to scoring goals for fun in League 2? I don't care if he fell out with Cooper or whatever, we paid him good money and his attitude was wrong in my view!
