Hodgie to Pools!

Post by scullion62 » Wed Oct 22, 2014 9:12 pm

Spoke to David in town today and I ribbed him about being at Pools after Coopers sacking as it said in the paper and he was really shocked. He asked me to come on here and assure every Darlo fan that there is more chance of hell freezing over than him taking the Poolie job!!!!!

They'd be seriously fucked if they appointed David Hodgson, out of the game since what, 2007?

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.

Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Has he actually been out of the game? I thought he was still involved in some capacity agency/scouting?

I think the job has to be offered before he could accept it.
And I don't think hell is on the cards for a big freeze !!!

This may be a coincidence, but Hartlepool appointed David Hodgson as manager on Football Manager last night. He was appointed on October 30th 2014

Maybe it's a sign from the main upstairs

Maybe they thought that the mighty Hodgson would have taken them down and that they have a better chance of survival with someone else?

I think he's still (officially) on the DFC Advisory Board, so still connected with us. I presume that still exists, but I don't suppose it's very active or even needed these days? Other members are/were Jenny Chapman, Peter Barron, Alastair MacConachie, and Harvey Madden.

Yes, I think they may go for someone with only 18 months experience as a first team coach in the deluded belief that he would stand a better chance than any manager with years of experience.

Just my opinion.
