Hodgie to Pools!
Spoke to David in town today and I ribbed him about being at Pools after Coopers sacking as it said in the paper and he was really shocked. He asked me to come on here and assure every Darlo fan that there is more chance of hell freezing over than him taking the Poolie job!!!!!

Re: Hodgie to Pools!
They'd be seriously fucked if they appointed David Hodgson, out of the game since what, 2007?

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Has he actually been out of the game? I thought he was still involved in some capacity agency/scouting?
Re: Hodgie to Pools!
I think the job has to be offered before he could accept it.scullion62 wrote:Spoke to David in town today and I ribbed him about being at Pools after Coopers sacking as it said in the paper and he was really shocked. Re: Hodgie to Pools!
This may be a coincidence, but Hartlepool appointed David Hodgson as manager on Football Manager last night. He was appointed on October 30th 2014
Maybe it's a sign from the main upstairs

See the hangers managed to get someone else in to take them down instead of the mighty hodgson!

Maybe they thought that the mighty Hodgson would have taken them down and that they have a better chance of survival with someone else?darlogent wrote:See the hangers managed to get someone else in to take them down instead of the mighty hodgson!

I think he's still (officially) on the DFC Advisory Board, so still connected with us. I presume that still exists, but I don't suppose it's very active or even needed these days? Other members are/were Jenny Chapman, Peter Barron, Alastair MacConachie, and Harvey Madden.

Yes, I think they may go for someone with only 18 months experience as a first team coach in the deluded belief that he would stand a better chance than any manager with years of experience.
Just my opinion.
