Arthur Wharton statue unvieled

Post by bga » Thu Oct 16, 2014 3:14 pm

This was a main item on the ITV news at lunchtime with a live link to a reporter at St George's Park. Whilst it may not interest many on here, was disappointed that ITV mentioned the clubs he played for but did not mention Darlington! Guess we are used to that by now eh Shaun?

The only person that ever gave a s*** about Wharton was Shaun Campbell because it got him a bit of publicity.

Rather harsh on Shaun Campbell ,twintowers didn't see any posts from you when it was first mentioned, sorry but Darlington got alot of publicity on this subject,Shaun spent time and energy into getting this off the ground, only downside is we are not at the stadium anymore, otherwise that is where the statue would have been placed.
That was his motivation.yes he did get publicly from it but does that not go with the territory,it was for Darlington fc that he started his mission to get the statue sited in Darlington.

I think Shaun Campbell deserves his bit of publicity for what he has done...That is regards the Arthur Wharton statue AND the part he played in keeping Darlington football club alive long enough for us to make a new start.
Just my opinion like.

"unveiled" is the word!

Shaun's put a lot of effort into the Arthur Wharton thing - and to trying to save Feethams. I think it's unfair to knock him!

The article on the BBC website is full of references to us.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.

Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.
