Placed on the transfer list at his request

http://m.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/11 ... pennymoor/

Could he do a job here?

Yes he could but for a number of reasons it won't happen.

Spenny would want money for him, especially if signing for us.
Don't think he would fancy it really either, he has Spenny at heart.

Plus it says he wants to play local. Would expect him to drop to Northern League

Exactly, there's a reason why he wants a transfer!

He could be an excellent addition, but does he fit our style of play?

He would be a great addition to Darlo. He creates some fantastic openings with his passes and his free kick taking is outstanding.

He will be sadly missed at Spennymoor, but has not been a regular starter this season and he understandably wants game time

In my opinion its highly unlikely he'd be a regular starter with us either.

Personally I agree with BlackandwhiteBOB can see him dropping back into the Northern League, decent player wouldn't have any trouble getting regular first team football at that level.

Wouldn't surprise me if he crossed the great divide and ended up with Bishop!

Thinking about it, he would offer us some depth in midfield as one of the wider central players or behind the front two.

He'd certainly get plenty of game time in our thin squad, but we do have youngsters we could (and maybe should) blood.

Not sure the kids are ready to be honest. Cocks maybe to fill in on the bench now and again but we need 16 seniors minimum.

I was thinking Shildon as so many ex Spennymoor players seem to be there

I like Graydon.

He is a good player, and seems to be a good bloke from what I read.

Now we've got that out of the way, what makes you think he would be a great addition for Darlo? Is he better than Portas, Mitchell or Scott? I don't think he is. That's why we won the midfield battle at your place.

He'd strengthen our depth but wouldn't be a certain starter, same as at Spennymoor. So where is the attraction for him in coming here - it'd be just like jumping out of the frying pan into the fire, if he's wanting lots of game time. He'd also cost a fee and probably a decent wage.

Also it is mentioned by Ainsley that the player is not keen on too much travelling. Sounds like the Northern League to me.

What about a swap deal, they get Fisher.

Can see him joining West.

Graydon is a solid enough player, but would he really dislodge some of our current lot? I'd say it's doubtful.

Could be an ideal player to play alongside Portas and give us that creativity that we are lacking from central midfield.

Graydon is a better footballer than Scott and Robinson put together. Scott has been immense for us and was great to see him score at the weekend but from what I've seen this season he has struggled. Whether you put this down to his recovery from injury I don't know.

We are short of another creative midfielder, if Spenny don't want much/anything for him then I think he'd be a great addition to the squad.

Sadly it sounds like he's another that likes to be home for his tea on a Saturday

It`s the same reason why we lost players once you go up some don`t want to travel and are comfortable just going local they only find out once the season starts

It would be hugely surprising if he joined. Really don't see it happening.

He wants to stay local and wouldn't come cheap.

Not going to happen.

We are literally .... out of his league ... He'll be very happy at Shildon or somewhere ... no doubt at all!

Mind you .... if Harrison wanted to do a Saturday only stint .....

Graydon is a more technically gifted footballer than Scott and Robinson. Does that make him a more effective footballer? No. He'd certainly be a good addition to the squad, but he wouldn't be a guaranteed starter. Which seems to be the problem for him at Spennymoor Town.
