Spenny still in the cup (won 1-0 against Ashton Utd) but Bamber Bridge can focus on the league again after getting thumped 4-1 at home to Chorley < 2,214 at that game!

Do you not think your all getting a touch excited - we've played more games so won't be there long.... nice that were putting a winning run together and putting pressure on the others to do the same.

See Jordan Robinson reckons he has three fractures to his face from that late challenge. Not even a booking for their lad.

Weren't Farsley missing their main striker in international duty today? I was expecting a Salford win so pleasantly surprised with a draw...can we make it a perfect October?

Yeah, thought Armstrong started brightly but faded, could still have had a couple. I wonder whether he would benefit from having Wednesday off. It's not as if we don't have an able replacement in that position.

Why do Salford have 3 games in hand on us already? We've had a few cup games already - are they still going in the cups?

I'm not suggesting they'll fall into the same trap as Spendy did when we trounced them in the Northern League, but lets just keep winning and keep the pressure on them to win those games in hand.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.

Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

They've lost 3 games this season against New Mills, Prescot Cables and Kendal due to cup commitments for either team.

Salford were knocked out at 2nd Preliminary round in the FA Cup by Ashton who in turn were disposed by Spennymoor yesterday.

Like us, all they have left is the Trophy and league cup.

Those 3 postponed games are very winnable unfortunately

Agreed, great little club and a classic old ground, that grandstand surely has to be the biggest stand in the league?! Had a vague resemblance to the main stand at Consett's old Belle Vue, nice big clubhouse too just a shame the beer was absolutely dreadful! Definitely one of the better away days I've had since we've dropped down the pyramid.

Personally I think the 2-0 scoreline was about right, they were no pushovers a very workman like side. But we were very much in control after we went 1-0 up, didn't really need to come out of second gear. It was a solid performance, we kept our house in order and got the job done.

We were comfortable at 2-0, their 'keeper had a decent game made a couple of very good saves although his kicking left a bit to be desired!

I said after the Ossett Town game we needed to capitalize on this run of games and so far we have done, now 5 wins on the bounce. We need to keep this consistency going into the next couple of league games with Ossett Albion and Burscough with a tough run coming up in November.

I am certainly enjoying being top of the league even if it is only for a breif time, its also good that we are letting Salford know we're there.

Isn't it great to arrive home and say "we won"? Some of our lads used to go to loads of Darlo games and rarely saw a win. A good day out at Cables, bottles of ale for a good price, two excellent goals and a shame about Jordan who I thought had a good game, worked hard and held the ball up well. We could have had a hatful but for their superb keeper.

Unfortunately true, except for Kendal who've put together a good few wins since their manager left - long may it continue (till New Year's Day)

Yes shame about the beer...must be a Prescot thing. We went in 4 pubs on the way to the ground and only one,Hare and Hounds is the old name, had a decent pint.

Impressive stand though as you say.
