Darlington v Padiham

Post by AndyPark » Sat Oct 04, 2014 6:06 am

Keep the same team as Wednesday.

I'm rooting for a 4-1 Darlo win with 1006 in attendance!

Darlington 3 Padiham 1
Attendance 876...Most of whom will go home disappointed as they expected Darlo to have scored 7 or 8

Well they have lost 8 out 10 games and let in 29 goals so you could be nearer the mark

It will be interesting to see how Brett Ormerod gets on this afternoon.

Yeah that is the fly in the ointment - hopefully he won't have trained much with them lol

Looking forward too this, hopefully a canny turnout, first Saturday game since Warrington after being in Oz for 4 weeks. Thought we started poorly on Wednesday, can't afford to do that again today

Padiham will probably come and put everyone behind the ball. If we can get an early goal then I reckon we will win pretty comfortably. If not....

Saying that, I'll go for 4-0. Attendance of around 1000.

Started ok, Amar and Armstrong a handful. Thought we looked poorer after Thompson went off with Amar much less involved out wide. Second half we laboured on the ball and struggled to get behind their defensive unit.
Not great to watch but I suppose it's three points and could have easily need 4 or 5.

Not sure I can remember a game with more clear cut missed chances, just couldn't score. Portas was outstanding again I thought but Mitchell wasn't on his wavelength today so we struggled with the short passing through the midfield. Watson has a good game too, overlapped well.
