It seems to be de rigeur to fit the phrase "hoofball" into many posts.
A direct ball can be a marvellous pass if the movement of the forward is attuned to it.
There are too many people seeing monsters under their beds!

Totally agree Fatty, as I mentioned earlier this week, if we want to go direct have the right players on the pitch up front I.e. Armstrong & Hatch with someone to pick up on the flicks and nod on's like Dowson/Thompson.
