Re: New Signings
Ryan Andrew Noble is an English footballer who is currently without a club. Noble has played as a striker for Sunderland, Watford, Derby County, Hartlepool United, Burnley and Gateshead. - Another Striker!!!
Re: New Signings
Noble came through our academy and was tipped for big things. His goalscoring records at U18 and reserve level were quality but he never made the step up. He was loaned out to Derby but again never got a chance. We then loaned him to Hartlepool where he got more of a chance but didn't score many goals (2 or 3 in quite a few games). We released him and he signed a short term deal with Burnley, where to my knowledge he didn't get a chance.
He then failed to make the grade at Gateshead too.
As a player he can definitely finish, he has a turn of pace and will look to play on the shoulder of the centre half. Hes been unlucky with a few injuries (stopped him playing at Derby) and the other reason I can see for him not making it higher up is that hes only small and physical defenders would boss him.
Could be a decent signing for Darlo, he certainly had a better record at youth level than Dowson.

Re: New Signings
Think Guyan is a defender but he appears to have his coaching badges and was manager of a team in India but not much info on him tbh
Re: New Signings
I think theres an Arsenal connection with him somewhere.Bogratsteve wrote:Think Guyan is a defender but he appears to have his coaching badges and was manager of a team in India but not much info on him tbh

Re: New Signings
Hopefully Guyan is a right-back.
Don't understand the signing of Noble. That's Armstrong, Dowson, Hatch, Fisher, Purewal and now Noble we have on our books, although if he's better than what we have then I'm all for it.

Re: New Signings
I'd class him more of an attacking/wide midfielder.Bogratsteve wrote:And Thommo...JPearson97 wrote:Hopefully Guyan is a right-back.

Tend to agree but I think he classes himself as a Striker!!JPearson97 wrote:I'd class him more of an attacking/wide midfielder.Bogratsteve wrote:And Thommo...JPearson97 wrote:Hopefully Guyan is a right-back.

Re: New Signings
Wasn't there talk of Fisher going? Not sure how true that was but it'd make sense to sign Noble if so.

Re: New Signings
Sounds like Noble will be a repacement for Fisher, from the description of him above. I wouldn't be surprised to see Fisher move on quite quickly now.
His scoring record at professional level isn't great but he has never had a big run of games either.
Am I right in thinking that neither will be eligible for Wednesday if they were not eligible for today?

Re: New Signings
A player with recent Championship experience and a prolific record at Premier League Youth level would seem on the face of it to be an upgrade.

Not doubting the signings, but has either signing been announced anywhere?

No but I'm sure Noble was warming up at the game Saturday in the blue shorts/socksIngleby wrote:Not doubting the signings, but has either signing been announced anywhere?

I've actually just found it here http://www.evostikleague.co.uk/saturday ... ist-20658/Bogratsteve wrote:No but I'm sure Noble was warming up at the game Saturday in the blue shorts/socksIngleby wrote:Not doubting the signings, but has either signing been announced anywhere?
Never noticed Noble tbh but I hadn't known he had signed.

Re: New Signings
Looking on your link to Evostick league, confirming player movements registered with Evostick between Sunday 24th August to Saturday 30th August, couldn't help noticing Daniel Webber's registration for Salford. Strange.
Daniel Webber scored for Salford on the 19th August against Warrington and again on the 23rd August against Mossley. Does this mean he was playing before being registered ? Have Salford been playing ineligible players ?
I shall be obliged to email to the secretary of the Evostick to clarify the situation. Points deduction would be most welcome.
Wouldn't put anything past those shysters in charge of Salford.

May have been on trial?

Re: New Signings
A division 2 player from Accrington on trial to an Evostick Division 1 north club ?
Are you suggesting anyone can just turn up and play without being registered ?
No doubt Scholes ,Butt, and the Neville's will suddenly don their kit and run out for the second half when Salford are losing at half time.
Paranoia ? Not sure where your coming from on that one. I do not believe that this possible oversite was a deliberate act.

Re: New Signings
The Evo-Stik has obviously been updated late with this signing.
Talk about an over-reaction.

Re: New Signings
What over reaction. I merely pointed out that there was an anomaly between the date a player was supposedly registered and the date when he first played for that club.AndyPark wrote:The Evo-Stik has obviously been updated late with this signing.

Re: New Signings
No you didn't. You had a massive hissy fit and made a series of pathetic innuendos about Salford City, which you have no way of backing up.banktopp wrote:What over reaction. Then you made a hysterical, childish "I'm going to email the secretary" comment (which you won't because you're too much of a coward).
All based on the fact a name had appeared on the league website a bit late. You have no hard evidence that anything untoward has happened, yet you made a massive fuss about it.
So no, you weren't "merely pointing out" something.

Banktopp's humiliation is complete.

Re: New Signings
Guyan was in the Sunderland RCA squad tonight.
You'd assume he is getting some minutes with them first (don't think he can play tomorrow night), although I may be wrong.
