Burscough V Darlington FC
Next game up,not sure if this will be as easy as some predict, last seasons results mean nothing. They were 2 nil up on Lancaster before the break, before losing 3-2. I hope the lads are as fired up for this one as they were against spenny, in fact we need to play that way all through the season and not drop silly points. I think MG will start with the same formation that did so well on Tuesday night and if Purewal is not fit then Thompson slots in on the left, the way we played the other night i dont think we need to accomodate Thompson playing behind a front 2.
We need the game won in the first half so we can rest a few for Mondays game against Kendal Town.

Re: Burscough V Darlington FC
to be honest weather amar is injured or not thommo will still swap places with him and i think Robinson will be on the bench.
Re: Burscough V Darlington FC
I have a sneaky suspicion that Fisher will start in place of Purewal and Thommo will be on the bench
Re: Burscough V Darlington FC
unless Amar is 100% fit and i dont think he will be Thommo starts and hopefully we can play the same as we did on tuesday. If we do we win
Re: Burscough V Darlington FC
Be interesting to see what team we put out. We've got a bank holiday monday game to play as well so potentially we'll see a bit of swapping about over the next 2 matches.
Re: Burscough V Darlington FC
I think we may see a couple if changes tomorrow, just to keep everyone fresh and ready for Monday.

Re: Burscough V Darlington FC
... after Tuesday a couple of changes sounds like one too many to me. We can't afford to take any team lightly. Burscough punished us for resting players back in April. They will need no encouragement to do likewise ....... After Saturday, only then can we look to Monday and Kendal ......

The team played great against spenny, its up to players to step up when they get there chance as subs.
Not one player in the team against spenny should be droped (apart from injuries) that starts against Burscough. If they are all fit Thompson should be on the bench and come on when MG thinks it right, same as the rest of the subs.
Last season we had the Dowson /Fisher one half each, imo this was wrong it just sends out the wrong signals to players.

Re: Burscough V Darlington FC
Burscough advise no parking at the ground but ok to park in the nearby Tesco car park. I shop there and just to let you know it is not that big and gets very busy on a Saturday so don't just expect to rock up and park like the one at HP. You have been warned!

Unfair to change the winning and dominant team unless injury forces it, same team with Amar changed if injured for Fisher/Thommo/Hatch

Re: Burscough V Darlington FC
Really hope MG does not tinker with the side too much as Burscough are no pushovers. If he needs to rest anyone I would be happy to see Adam Reed in for Leon and Thommo in for the possibly injured Purewel. That team would be good for the 3 points especially with that back 4 but if he is thinking in terms of Jack Walker and Jordan Robinson that would be a mistake IMO. Like Aido said, lets get the 3 points today then worry who is up for the Kendal game.poppyfield wrote:This.AIDO wrote:... after Tuesday a couple of changes sounds like one too many to me. Re: Burscough V Darlington FC
I would be surprised if Leon starts both today and Monday
Tuesday night was his first 90 minutes i think since April.
He was great at Spenny, but looked a bit leggy later on which has to be expected.
Reed should be ok to fill in rather than having to change the formation.

Re: Burscough V Darlington FC
If it aint broke...don't fix it! Keep it the same as against Spendy unless injuries forces his hand then do a simple like for like switch i.e. Thommo for Amar if he can't play.
Come on Darlo!

but Reed is not the same type of player as Scott, Scott is the steel we need in the middle if he gets a bit leggy in the second half bring Robinson on, I see Reed more as a creative player.
