How many Darlo fans

I see some Spendy fans were bragging over the 1,882 gate. Does anyone know how many were Darlo fans ?


What is their usual gate ?

Half the lads in the Spenny end were neutrals from other clubs, that's according to my Spenny supporting colleague whose life I've made hell today!

It was the same in the game two years ago,about 1500 Darlo,hundreds of neutrals and the rest from Spenny.

Someone made an interesting post on another thread (Quakerz?) saying he didn't give a damn about the other clubs.

I don't either.

I don't care how big they're crowds are, or how they're funded. Or in fact anything at all. I just want to get away from them all as quick as possible and never see them again.

Especially the tin pot - joke ones, like Warrington Ladies.

I was curious to the impact on the crowd Darlo fans had & the interest generated by our participation in the league we are currently in.

Also surprised that we only had around 1000 fans at our first league game yet people think that we had as many at an away game.

Some people, like myself couldn't make Saturday's game and therefore went last night instead.

... it was pretty obvious at the game that the number of Darlo supporters in the away ends far outnumbered the rest. 1100 Quaker fans is about right. We always far outnumber home fans in this league. At this level of football, the home support is consistent, regardless of whether they play Darlo or not. The only reason they get bigger crowds is because we take a lot. The exception is in a local derby, of which, this is our first and only one since promotion ... hence Spennymoor had about 800 or so, as opposed to their normal 400 odd.

Rough guess..800 Spenny (including neutrals who always seem to go in the Spenny end), the rest Darlo.

I admit the Ramsbottom and Warrington games have soured me.

Couldnt understand the 'where were you when you were s***' chant, neither could i the chant of 'united' ?, could of sworn they were Spennymoor Town
