Dugouts

Post by lo36789 » Sat Jul 19, 2014 10:36 pm

Notice the dugouts have moved at HP this season. Is this a tactical thing so Martin Gray doesn't have the chance to cross with match officials at half time, someone can drag him down the tunnel before they get there.

Suppose it also provides a lot more viewing spots over the other side as well!

They were always originally there but moved the season we started sharing to let the grass grow back on that side apparently

I think it's so he doesn't have as far to walk when he's sent to the stands.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.

Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Surely they should be in the recess at the front of the stand.

I personally prefer them there. But they do look like they might obstruct the view from the wheelchair spaces.

Sunderland wanted them there so they could have better security for the players , I'm sure they will be getting moved back over the other side ;)

Perhaps if the dugouts remained on the main stand side of the pitch it would reduce the number of grass bank rebels

They need to remain on the tunnel side, there is a ready made area there why not use it, it makes sense

Because the pitch doesn't get much sun on that side in the winter and the area where players warm up etc turns to mud and doesn't repair. It's Bishop's decision.
