Ossett Albion reprieved

Post by AIDO » Thu Apr 17, 2014 7:02 pm

Wakefield and Cammell Laird's request to be relegated has been ratified by the Evostik League hierarchy at a special meeting and as a result Ossett Albion have been reprieved - Wakefield, of course, currently occupy second bottom place ..... and would in all likelihood have been relegated anyway as the second team .... hey ho .....

Not reprieved yet. FA regs this season means they want to relegate the bottom club of each Step 4 division regardless of teams asking for voluntary relegation

Yes, but I think because they have tended their resignation before the season is complete, Wakefield will be deemed as finishing 22nd and Cammell Laird 21st.

That's the way it reads to me.

Wakefield have lost the use of the ground they have been using from the Wildcats rugby league club. They will be sharing next season with AFC Emily which ground does not meet the standards of the Evostick league, this is why they have being forced to resign from the league. Hope we give them a good crowd for their last game at Belle Vue.

Could well be another Harrogate Railway type crowd judging by the amount of people who said they were going
