Decent performance today, glad Hunters back and playing well, Walker had a good game and the Amar/Ward setup worked surprisingly well, not the best team we have played this season and we will need to step up another gear for the playoffs but happy with that today

Slightly disappointed to only get 3 because Padiham never threatened to get into the game, it was an absolute stroll. What a small team they had.
"At a meeting held at the Grammar School on Friday last - Mr Phillip Wood M.A., in the chair - it was resolved to form an Association Football Club for Darlington and neighbourhood. The opinions of those present were so unanimous as to the desirability of this step, that a committee was formed to complete the organisation of the club, and Mr Craven, 17, Garden Street, was appointed secretary pro tem." - The Northern Echo, Monday 23rd July 1883

Look good in the highlights. Two well taken goals by Purewal, nice to see the players support for him on twitter as well. It looked like Thommo wanted him to finish of his goal for him!

Match report from Stod http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/ ... ref=twtrec

Love his quote on Thommo

Gray said: "It was nice to see Thommo get a goal and we were able to bring him off on the hour to give him a rest. He's such an important player for us and a very good player for a fat winger!"
