Great performance last night. Good to see Thompson back to his best scored a very nice goal too. Loved the second goal like watching barca and tezza took the penalty well. Another home win on to Saturday
Re: Darlington v Cammell Laird Match Thread
Very good performance last night. For me he MOTM was Gary Brown, put in a very good performance, however, everyone played a good game. More peformances like that and im more confident about the rest of the season, especially our game upcoming against Curzon.
That 2nd goal was one of my personal favs.
Well done lads.

Second goal real class, quick give and goes with a super finish. cannot recall a better goal at HP , worth the entrance fee alone.
Agree Gary Brown had another very sound performance, blood and thunder, in fact after the first 10 mins and the crossbar scare, he and Tait won everything with Jordan Robinson just in front picking up the pieces. Also I noticed Brown fed Thompson down the left with quick ball most of the night.

Enjoyed the game last night, good to see Brown and Tait playing together again,we had an awesome back 4 last night, good test for them as Cammell Laird played some good football.
The whole team performance improved last night.
Can Hunter play midfield?

Brown, Tait, Hunter & White ... Solid , MG Spoilt for choice. Any pairing would be formidable at this level

What centre back pairing should we go with when they are all fit/available ?tezza wrote:Brown, Tait, Hunter & White ... Solid , MG Spoilt for choice. Any pairing would be formidable at this level

For me it's Brown & Hunter with Tait/Robinson/Scott in front and the 3 hit men up front
Great solid defenders and attacking flair.
Galbraith and Harra getting forward when they can down the flanks.
Tough on White but what a replacement

Solid is one way to put it. You are playing 7 defenders.Bogratsteve wrote:For me it's Brown & Hunter with Tait/Robinson/Scott in front and the 3 hit men up front
Actually assuming you have Galbraith at left back I'll give you 1 midfielder!

Re: Darlington v Cammell Laird Match Thread
Yes it's defensive minded but Tait/Harra/Scott/Galbraith all can and do get forward when needed.
We seem to play the long ball game most of the time currently and the midfield is bypassed so not an issue for me.

Just counted 16 (but I am in Armenia so maybe it looks better from here)micra3 wrote:13 passes on the lead up to the 2nd goal
Anyway it was a brilliant build up and class finish.
