If the Curzon match is off
If the Curzon match is off
I think if the Curzon match is postponed, I'll stick the £20 or so that I would have spent into the "Back to Darlo" fund. While the Squareknot pitches are ticking along nicely, this fund, which is going to be very important very soon, seems to have ground to a halt.
It needs a good kick start, and opportunities have been missed, such as not having bucket collections at home matches that survived the weather.
If only 100 people that would have attended put £10-20 over this weekend, thats 1-2k and we could be sat at 10 grand on Monday.
Anyone else in?

Re: If the Curzon match is off
I'll put 20 quid in as well and give it a boost. But what people mustn't lose sight of is the purpose and importance of ensuring the square knot pitches get to their target. We need a little over 11k in 11 days, if we don't raise it then we don't get anything.

I wouldn't be going anyway but will chuck a bit in.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

If people have enough money to put into Squareknot then I would put into Squareknot. Once we hit £50k then I would then say B2D with all you've got.
If realise if you don't have the minimum £100 required for Squareknot then you don't have a choice and in that circumstance obviously go with B2D.
I am sort of hoping that money in the reward scheme not visible on Squareknot might (less expenses) be routed into B2D. We have our financial buffer now from Dan Burn, we might still need the £50k but I'd hope that getting B2D is the concern after that.

Re: If the Curzon match is off
At the forum it was explained how the Dan Burn money had affected things, Martin Jesper couldn't express how much it had helped. He also explained very clearly why this 50k from squareknot was so important. But what he did then say is that every penny raised after the completion of squareknot would be routed into helping bring the club to BM. If we can get the 50k ticked off I think the buckets will be out at every opportunity and fundraising will step up again, now that there is a clear, unobscured vision in place for getting back into the town.lo36789 wrote:If people have enough money to put into Squareknot then I would put into Squareknot. Re: If the Curzon match is off
Lo, if someone is going to put £100, £250, £500 or even £1,000+ into Squareknot, it does not impact on what they are going to spend at the match tomorrow does it?lo36789 wrote:If people have enough money to put into Squareknot then I would put into Squareknot. Let's face it, everybody who is going to go tomorrow is going to spend £10, £20, £30 at the match tomorrow - as I said, regardless of whether they have contributed to Squareknot, are going to contribute, or maybe can't afford to - so my suggestion is simple, IF the match is off tomorrow, wouldn't it be nice if a good percentage of fans put into B2D what they were going to spend at the match?
That is all there is to it, and there's no need to bring Squareknot into it. Let's also not forget that the B2D fund is vitally important itself!

Right, done!
Who's next?
Shame we can't keep a running total as it usually spurs others on.

Re: If the Curzon match is off
Well the B2D fund was £7,720 this morning, now it's £7,920...already a £200 jump just from a few people chucking in their spends from today. Only......£67,100 left to go, let's make a bigger dent in it.
Re: If the Curzon match is off
Let's face it, this weekend's match isn't going ahead either.
Same again?
