Dan Burn
Re: Dan Burn
Means they are through to another game against Sheffield United, wonder if they will send him back to Birmingham before that?
Given how much better than Senderos he looks you have to ask why would they send him back at all!?
Some really positive discussion on the Fulham messageboard...

Anyway appearance number number 2 for Dan Burn...23 to go!

Just been looking at my records and it's actually 20 game blocks for stockdale, not 25Ash_Quaker wrote:According to the website soccerbase his 25th appearance for Fulham was on the 5th January 2013. Any idea when that was?super_les_mcjannet wrote:I believe we have had 1st payment.Darlofan97 wrote:Not a clue, sadly. Too many variables to consider. This clause was mentioned in August 2012 and I don't know how far Stockdale was into these certain 25 games, neither do I know if the clause applies for all competitive matches or just Premier League ones.

Re: Dan Burn
So currently if Fulham go no further in the FA Cup they have 18 games left this season if Dan was to feature in them all which would take us up to 20 so we need a few FA cup draws or an early windfall at the start of next season

I was told it was 10 appearances not 25 before the next payment

Re: Dan Burn
The match against Sunderland was Stockdale's 40th in a Fulham shirt I think.
If it was 20game blocks then we should have just received another payment. If it was 25 we have 10 games left to wait.

Re: Dan Burn
Looking solid so far. If the rumours are correct then we may well be in for another payment at the beginning of March if things go to plan.
Re: Dan Burn
It's a shame it's not the FA Cup of old with no pens and endless replays, we would have got the money in no time .

Am I? I'm implying that we'd get a payment on his 10th game, and the earliest that it can happen is early March...Spyman wrote:If you're implying what I think you are, I think you're getting ahead of yourself.Darlofan97 wrote:Looking solid so far. Re: Dan Burn
One thing is for sure if he is at Fulham next season he will be playing in the Championship. They are dreadful.
Re: Dan Burn
Well you're not implying what I thought you were, so no, you're not.

Re: Dan Burn
I havn't heard these rumours of 10 game blocks. I have just heard 20 or 25 game blocks for him and Stockdale!?
He looks to be growing in confidence. I know it was only Sheffield United but he looked a lot more composed and comfortable than he did against Arsenal.

Re: Dan Burn
If that is the case it means that we will probably get all our appearance monies from Stockdale and from Burn because they will likely be first teamers in the Championship!quakerste wrote:One thing is for sure if he is at Fulham next season he will be playing in the Championship. They are dreadful.
Just need to get all the appearance money and then sell them back to the Premiership after that!
Re: Dan Burn
Yes, although remember he spent all of last season beating league one teams with Yeovil, so he'll be very confident against that standard of opposition.lo36789 wrote:I havn't heard these rumours of 10 game blocks. I have just heard 20 or 25 game blocks for him and Stockdale!?

Re: Dan Burn
Agreed, but I havn't seen an awful lot from the other games so I have no idea how he has looked in those. Everything still seems quite positive on the Fulham messageboard!Spyman wrote:Yes, although remember he spent all of last season beating league one teams with Yeovil, so he'll be very confident against that standard of opposition.
Re: Dan Burn
Preferred to Hangeland today at OT facing Rooney and RVP - shows how much Mulensteen must rate him

Re: Dan Burn
I know we can't confirm any clauses in Burns transfer but their is a rumour of a payment after 10 games.
Obviously like most I do wonder about these clauses but understand why the club can't announce them. Be good if the club could maybe confirm a clause was completed and a payment made but with no fees etc on the update, it's just positive news that gives a good positive atmosphere around the club.

Re: Dan Burn
Lets just focus on something other than Dan Burn = money for a change. I for one am absolutely chuffed for Dan that that he has started against Man U at Old Trafford..... on merit and not because of injuries. Well done.

Re: Dan Burn
well manure are carrying on their fantastic season and Fulham are 1-0 up right now
Re: Dan Burn
It is difficult not to mention the extra benefit...given where we are at the moment. I think everybody is very happy to see him achieve and I'd like to think if the clauses hadn't been there this thread would still be here.yaccly wrote:Lets just focus on something other than Dan Burn = money for a change. You are right though, seeing him lined up in the tunnel at Old Trafford and as you say there on merit, preferred over Brede Hangeland at the back. Other than being megged by Mata he has started solidly...helped by the fact United are trying to play it in the air to Rooney (I'd like to think Burn will win that battle all day long!)
Re: Dan Burn
Loving these quotes from the BBC live feed:
"Just to clarify, Fulham will be off the bottom of the table if they hang on to this win. Dan 'the wall' Burn heads away yet another cross. Maybe United need to change their tactics a bit?"
"Great header out from Dan Burn (copy and paste that one) before Michael Carrick slams in a shot which forces Maarten Stekelenburg into a flying save."
"The two Fulham central defenders, Dan Burn and Jonny Heitinga, are playing excellently, as is the keeper Maarten Stekelenburg."

Re: Dan Burn
You know what? If he carries on like this, he's got a real chance of an England cap in the future, because he's a real one off...6ft 6, left footed, hmmm!
Re: Dan Burn
Even better if the big clubs starting sniffing around and put in a big offer.
Re: Dan Burn
I was going to say I actually can't see him playing Championship football next season the way he's going at the moment.quakerste wrote:Even better if the big clubs starting sniffing around and put in a big offer.
If Fulham stay up then he won't be shipped out on loan next term and if they go down well, I don't think the big boys will be interested but since he stands out so much it'll be hard for sort of mid table sides like Newcastle/Aston Villa & West Ham not to at least notice him!

Re: Dan Burn
Bearing in mind United signed Smalling whose career followed an almost identical path as Burn for around £8m anything could happen if he keeps it up. His height and left footed-ness certainly make him a pretty rare commodity

Re: Dan Burn
if he did go for a big fee in the future, do we get the same as stockdale, 9%
Re: Dan Burn
Any figures that are said will only be rumours.quakerray wrote:if he did go for a big fee in the future, do we get the same as stockdale, 9%
Where did 9% come from for Stockdale (did it used to be 18%?) it seems really random.
I thought most sell ons were either 10, 15 or 20%, we would only be entitled to half of whatever it is anyway.
