Very good win against a good side, whose play combined with horrible conditions to make for a very tough second half. Thought dowson was excellent and took his goal very well.
How in the name of all that is holy did the linesman give that offside though?

Yeah, watched it 3 times. Did I miss something? Anybody there see what the positions were when the ball was kicked?

From where we were it looked like he ran from inside our half. It was a very odd decision.

impossible to tell from the highlights obviously. The only thing that makes me slightly suspicious. The last point you see Dowson before it is kicked forward from Bell he is heading into an offside position.swadquaker wrote:Yeah, watched it 3 times. Did I miss something? Very rarely do strikers put it in to get back on side when it is heading back to the goalkeeper. Especially after they have just made a forward run (which is what Dowson had done), but as I said at the start impossible to tell.
It is an odd one for an assistant to give unless it was obvious to him because nobody shouted for it.
