Great initiative. Exactly the kind of thing needed. Commentary to be broadcast from all away games. Excellent.

Would just like to thank everyone that tuned in tonight for the soundtest, we've had plenty of positive feedback which is much appreciated!

Right, to start off this is an unofficial radio station and in no way is it 'currently' being endorsed by the club, however positive talks have already been held. Saturday will mark the first ever broadcast of the station when we visit New Mills FC, you can tune in by downloading the SHOUTcast app (or WinAmp if you're on android) and searching darlofans or by going on http://www.shoutcast.com. Please note you can only locate the station whilst it is online which currently it isn't.

This has been weeks in the making and we're finally ready to go! The station will always be run by the fans for the fans, we hope you all tune in on Saturday from 2:15pm.

Just out of inquisitiveness - what kind of equipment do you need to operate a radio station "DarloFansRadio" ?

I'm thinking trucks, condenser mikes, licenses, lots of big expensive stuff!

The equipment we currently have is very basic. Along as we've got a 3G connection (which we do) we can broadcast from anywhere. License wise, you don't need one, all we need is a clubs permission to broadcast from their ground.

I'd just like to get it out there that tomorrow is very much a trial run, we don't want to get too many hopes up, then end up letting you all down. However we are more than confident that it'll work!

Tonights soundtest has highlighted some problems, mainly with androids. We will be working on fixing this problem.

Right, join us tomorrow for our first ever matchday broadcast from New Mills AFC at 2:15pm. Music and Match commentary provided, we hope you all tune in!

Don't get too attached to it guys.

When you get back into the Football League, they won't let you use it.

Newport had a very good coverage via their iRadio service which served them very well for a few years (home and away) but which it looks like they will not be able to use after Christmas. This is due to some rights agreement.

In the meantime, enjoy.

Think it's going to be a quite a while before we are back in the football league so plenty of time to enjoy this.

With the excellent highlight packages done by Kevin Luff and now this radio facility the fans (especially the exiles) are getting better coverage of the club than they got when we were in League Two.

Great work from all involved, can't wait to tune in today as I can't make the game due to work commitments.

Just to let you know that the sound test was working perfectly on my ipad in Yerevan (Armenia) last night. Just hope it works as well today for the match. Great initiative, hope you can keep it going. John

Great idea and ideal for those who can't attend games for whatever reasons. Coupled with the highlights Kev does I think the coverage we get now is probably better than in the Blue Square seasons!
In fact, if this is a success, then if a certain local radio station ever came sniffing around again then we could tell them to do one!

Just like to remind everyone that today is very much a trial run for the station, we hope you can all get tuned in fine but if not we apologise in advance. All our equipment is running smoothly so hopefully we won't encounter any problems.

Good luck to everyone involved. Will be tuning in to keep tabs on things. Hopefully it goes well for you all first time out. However these things take time to nail down (can speak from experience there!).
